Another sad day in the Smuggler community.

We'll miss you! Keep a close eye, and come back if it suits you!

V E E L A "her royal hawtness"
I am Jack's Smirking Revenge. I am Jack's Ignored Profession.
Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

Farewell all my fellow BH. I have only been here 7 months or so but i have decided it is time to go. I have gone to WoW, Quests, pve pvp and just about everything is better. Besides this is no longer star wars, It is Jedi wars. And i have no problem with jedi at all, I just dont want to play a game where everyone is one or will be one. Anyways hope you all enjoy, And goodluck.

I've honestly tried to keep an open mind about the NGE, from the start there have been some things I liked, but just as many that I didn't. After playing with some friends on TC-Ahazi last night, I'm afraid to say that I've cancelled my account. As someone I know put it, "It's like they pulled the tablecloth out from under the china, but instead of the dishes being upright, they're all shattered in the floor."

Sure, Star Wars Galaxies was never perfect, and no game ever will please everyone, but at times it was enjoyable. Lately, for me and many others it seems, the game feels more and more like a chore. I've spent a week trying to finish the Operational Droid Factory on Mustafar to get my YT-2400, on top of lockout timers and other unnessicary things in the game, such as armor/weapon certifications and still being unable to smuggle, the Devs have litterally turned my favorite profession upside down. No longer can we slice, no more feign death, last ditch or low blow - true classics among smugglers. I could list all the different things that are wrong with live and the NGE both, but it would take me at least an hour... and of course, you all know what those things are for the most part.

It truely saddens me to leave a game like this and feel that I didn't "finish" something... but when the NGE goes live, I honestly doubt I will login again. This is not an anti-NGE post, this is just due to the problems that existed far before that was even announced, but I'm afraid the biggest part is that my favorite ship, the YT-2400 is harder to get than the Firespray or even Jedi now. I wish I could have flown this ship before I cancel my account, hence why I feel that I didn't finish something.

I'm going to miss these forums, even those who I didn't always see eye to eye with, I'd like you all to know that I respect you and wish you all well in the future. To those that are staying with the game after the NGE, you have a lot more patience than I do, and I hope you enjoy the game. I'm downloading the trial for World of Warcraft right now, time will tell if that's where I end up...
