Can a NON-CH use one of those lvl 10 BE pets for a tank or are they just mounts

Ok, I think I think the answer to my original question is yes.
Next Question:
What is a "Legal" NON-CH pet? I was looking through my servers trade forum and I'm find a couple 10k HAM NON-CH pets on sale. Its not like I can afford them now but if i was I'd hate to buy one and have it taken away from me (read a few posts saying that GMs did that... are there GM's?)

Non-CH pets can be mounts, tanks or both yes.
The 10K HAM non-CH pet you saw on your forums are pets which the devs have stated are the result of bugs in the crafting system, and are more powerful than they want non-ch players to have. CSR's may take them from you, but in the near future (hopefully sooner rather than later) those pets will be nerfed down to what a real non-ch pet should be. In other words, buy with caution since its a nerf thats just waiting for dev time.
A lot of BE's wont make or sell these pets since we don't feel like screwing over the customer.

On a related subject, does anybody know if there's still an issue/design feature regarding the "body-type"/"skin" used to create the pet?
I remember having problems when I was a BE dabbler with Huurtons not being non-CH friendly due to their Aggression (or some other attribute), yet I recently purchased a CL 10 Razor Cat, trained it (I'm a CH) and then passed it to a non-CH friend who had no problems with it.
In a roundabout way, I'm asking if there are any "skins" that are non-CH friendly, even if they're sub CL10?

Is there a list somewhere that states what a non-ch can have as a pet? I am a TKA and looking to get a pet that I can fight along side with.

Any BE can make you a non agressive level 10 pet since non CH can control level 10 and under pets.
Also check SWGcreatures.com to check what pets are level 10 and tamable, Ill makeyou a small list.
The mounts are.
Motley Kaadu
Lowland Bracketset
Plodding Falumpaset
Cupa
and the Kashyyyk quest Bantha and Boltaur, along with the Veractyl that came with the digital download
Lesser Dewback was, i dunno anymore..
And the lesser plains Bol
Some pets that a non CH can use that arnt moutns are,
Krevols
Minor Sludge panther
some Vrobals
some Rasps
I think Vynocks, Bagerasets, and alot of things on corellia. personally I would have her go find you a Canoid on corellia in the mountains, great pig.
Alot of things on naboo and rori as well... Talus has alot of what corellia has.
Nuthing really on Dathimor anymore or Dantooine. I dont think anything on lok..
And abaslutly nuthing on endor or Yavin anymore.

This isnt just about mounts, but about non-CH pets in general.
The rest of the player base seems to be just waking up to the fact that pets no longer grow from babies to their adult size without player intervention anymore. I got a tell from out of the blue (well, someone probably knows how to use the search function, and Tazz is a fairly well known CH on Ahazi) asking about the new critter growth system. The player had been fighting with her pet, trying to earn XP to grow it. Of course, I had to tell her the bad news. Only CHs can fight pets to gain XP so they can grow.
Is this going to be a problem? I think it is, that while some non-CH players will be delighted with teeny-tiny permanent baby pets, others may not be. During my travels I'm looking for a minor sludge panther (baby) for a friend who likes kittens, and turning the tyke over to her without leveling probably fits her desires exactly. But of course if you want to put a saddle on a mount critter, or you want a "full size" dwarf gronda or dwarf bantha, you're going to have to find a CH willing to grind it for 8 or 9 rollovers for it to get to full size. This will NOT be easy for the next month or so as we're all frantically trying to learn specials so that our pets can be useful in combat again, and datapad space is always, ALWAYS at a premium, and even more so with taming mania in full swing right now.
How will the rest of the player base respond? Obviously the FPS types could not possibly care any less than they do now about pets or mounts. But there are a lot of players who love the fun of pets, like the RP factor of mounts, and think mounts are cool even if they don't outpace an X31, even if they don't have any plans to become a creature handler, they just want a taste, and non-CH pets give that.

that is something i have noticed many ppl have asked me for mounts the past few days and i tell them the high price for a mount they go are u nuts i am not going to pay u 200k for a mount but when i tell them the sad truth now they seem more whiling to pay it
well that is one way i found to get used to the changes less ppl are going to be whiling to buy a mount so increase the price since i have to grow them now, sooner or later ppl will adjust to it, but still ppl will just more likely ignores us, and use even more swoops
but i gotta say giving new players mounts was very fun but i will no longer do it because of the time taking process of growing the pets
in some ways useful and some ways a horroble thing
although many ppl are liking the miniature pets we can get them now

I cant get my BIO pets to grow up even when a CH gets them exp. They are leveling, and getting new slots, but not getting any bigger at all.
