You could also head out to a big hunting party and send your pet in at the last second.

With a low level pet what is the best way to grind for XP? I only have a lvl 12 pet.

Make a Macro, head to a place with low level creatures, let the Macro do its course.

It really is a slow grind. I have been on some rancor hunts on dathomir recently and find my lvl 12 wrix picks up around 1400 xp per kill. I send him in then bring him back almost straight away as the CH xp is already in the bag. A quick heal then off to the next one. It's slow going but luckily I am also working rifleman so the hunting benefits that as well.

After you have got a few extra commands then taming will also start to bring in around 1000 xp per pet. (the tame plus each command)

On a seperate but related note, I took up CH because I love it, most do as we have been nerfed for quite a while. I imagine that grinding it must be painful. My recommendation is to sit back, take your timeand enjoy the ride.

The best xp I found was to join a really large Enraged Rancor hunting group. Do NOT use a little CL10 pet, though. For some reason, people using these got less xp than I did with my larger pets. They were only getting about 600 xp per enraged rancor. There might be some bug with non-CH pets giving reduced xp. /shrug

I got really good xp using a Bioengineered CL20 Dune Lizard. He has a ranged attack, which is nice, 20% kinetic resists, and a skewed 9k health bar. I was getting 1400 xp per enraged rancor, 6 per lair. When we'd have the Enraged Bull Rancors, those were 1580 xp, and there would be 6 of those plus 3 Enraged Rancors per lair.
Bull Rancors are bad b/c of the disease.

The fastest way to do this is not to be solo...b/c although you can kill quickly, you can't kill as quickly as a 15 person group that has 30 missions in teh same direction. I got 250k CH xp in two hours this way.

Anyone else play Eve online? I have done 15 professions and I have decided that paying a monthly fee to do something so boring and unappealing is just a waste of money. Kind of like paying McDonalds to be allowed to flip burgers for them. There is no fun in this game.

Time is money, and rather than earn the fees people pay to play this game, the Devs seem to prefer to market the game towards people that are content to pay money to do meaningless busy work.

I have a feeling that what ever they set for you to do would be percieved ass "meaningless busy work"

how do you propose they do it instead?

If all you are doing is grinding through and dont care about experimenting with making meds and learning how it works, Grind Advanced Biological Effect Controllers (ABEC) They require Lokian Wild Wheat and Tatooine Fiberplast.

ABEC's in practice mode are the best.
