*sigh* Tiggs, It's not that we rip people's arms off when they call us "cute". It's simply the fact that no one spells wookiee right

I like to think that we have correspondents as an "always on" channel to the Devs for our issues. Tiggs has a kind of influence that we corrs only dream of though, so I'd hate for us to ever lose a chance at her ear.

For the record, I agree with all that has been posted so far. Keep it coming guys.

Panthu, you're a saint for doing what you do for us. What irks meisthe whole request to summarize again for yet another person that which has been summarized, detailed, enumerated, explained and illuminated so many times before with the result being absolutely nothing. Well, I'm going to echo pretty much what everyone has said so far. But in my words.

My words tend to ramble, and sometimes I don't make sense. And what I'm tring to say here is more an ephemeral *idea* than a concerete statement.

What's wrong with the profession is that we're not a profession. To most people in game, we're..furniture. NPCs. Just one more hassle the devs make everyone go through before they can start fighting and playing the 'real' game. The problem is that complete and utter lack of respect that has been bourne of a year's worth of AFKing and being reduced into buffbot vending machines.

Like others before me have said -- this issue is so gamebreaking that all other issues pale in comparison.

What I also partly consider a current flaw in our profession that is also caused by the abuse of AFK is that we aren't able to do our job. No, I don't mean healing and buffing. I mean our REAL job -- drawing people to the cantinas to relax and socialize in order to be a catalyst for developing the in game community. I look at Bartle's research and I look at Koster's original designs and I think of the *potential* this game has, and it makes me sad. Not just dancer, not just social professions, but the social community of the game is dying. And a social profession can't work in a game without a community.

I could ramble on and on and on like some of my other posts, but this is the gist of the problem, and I'm not trying to convince here, just state.

Thank you for the effort to ask

I guess if I have to -- were this issue cleared up, next on the list would be broken base dances and lack of 8 unique flourishes per dance.

Edited to add: *BIG BIG HUGS* for Panthu!

This'll be the first posting that I've made on these forums, but so much of what I want to say has already been said. Before I get to issues, I just want to take the time to thank you for posting here on the Dancer forum. As Drygo said, this is the first time that a Red-name has posted here for a very, very long time.

Basically, my main issues are things that everyone else ahead of me has already said, and those are:

1. AFK 'play' must go for the good of the profession,
2. The base dances for Formal, Lyrical, and the new one should be fixed (/dance, the base dance for Lyrical2, displays correctly, by the way),
3. A full set of real, motion-captured flourishes should accompany each dance,
4. Buffs that work every time, all the time,
5. Respect, both from the playerbase and from the devs.

Actually, pretty much everything that Shailas and Drygo said, and said in a much better way than I have.

The only other thing that I want to stress is that we've had calls for this sort of thing before, and nothing has been done about it. Please, if you are truly serious about this let us know, otherwise we'll just take it as yet another failed attempt to make our voices heard. The fact that you've posted here to begin with means a lot to us, and I really, really, really don't want to be negative about it, but we've had many bad experiences with lack of communication before.

Thank you very much for your time,

Hi Tiggs, thanks for stopping by I'm not gonna bother posting about the commando proffesion, anything that you need to know is pretty much all in the previous posts. It's been about 6 or 7 months now and we've seen this exact same post about 50 times. Most of us are tired of waiting and with WoW and EQ 2 quickly approaching, things are not looking good for SWG, even with JTL coming out soon.

Hi Tiggs, thanks for stopping by.

Although I havent been a chef for much longer than a month I would have to say that its been a pretty good profession so far. Im enjoying chef way more than i did doctor. I havent run into any major issues althoughI do have a few pet peeves.

First, we need more art for the food icons, everything looks the same. And with the constant need to create a trademark some individuals like to make up their own stupid names in place of the food's proper name, like t bone steak, and ice cream (what were they thinking???). Anyways in the heat of the moment while a nightsister is choking you to death you really dont want to be examining the food to find out what it is. More art for the food is good.

Second, some method of moving 40 crates at once would be a nice touch. Its not completely necessary, but some way to highlight multiple objects would definitely save us some time.

And third, inventory overload issues. I know it doesnt have much to do with chef, but when im carrying all the stuff over to the factory I get hit with this big message Inventory overloaded. Its especially amusing when the inventory isnt even close to being overloaded. I got pinned down with 13 items once. Inventory overload just sucks.

Another thing I almost forgot, It would be cool if there were lootable food enhancement typecomponents we could put into our food.Docs have their janta blood, Armorsmiths have their Nightsister Armor shards and scales. With chef we dont have anylootable food enhancements. We need some kimogila tongues or something.

And as far as the wookie aprons go, dont bother fixing it, less competition for me

I dont post much... a little here...a little there. though i do try to read the forums as often as possible

be able to wear my title and be appreciated for the time and skill points i spent getting it. as of now it is drasticly cheapened by a bunch of lines, pauses, and people abusing the profession for a variety of reasons. The lack of respect that has grown ever since last decemberish towards all entertainers really doesnt make for a pleasent environment for people that care about the profession. I myself have never spent long periods of time being a combatant. I am always drawn to the uniqueness that the entertainer profession has. even when i played my doctor/cm i mainly hung out in cantinas when i wasnt healing the grp of adventurers that thought it was a good idea to hunt on dath (ahh the days being a healer before solo grps). I enjoy healing people and being appreciated for it. what drew me to this game in the first place wasnt the star wars theme (never seen the original movies. waiting for the third to come out first ), nor was it the idea of killing a rancor or Krayt dragon. It wasa fewthings. The idea of exploring the beautiful worlds, being a cantina preformer, and finding as many places that would make for excellent performance stages. I had already tried the world of hack and slash of eq and daoc; fought crime in coh during my break from swg, and being part of the omni corporation of ao. No other game has had this. I have had much more fun in swg as an entertainer than any of those other games. unfotunetly with the current situation that fun has dwindled and is held together with a few pieces of masking tape.

I havent seen a red name in this forum in a long time. even with my jaded outlook I am hoping that somehow something will be done about this.

So, you're saying it's not worth the effort to actually read the posts and lists that the community has already voiced over and over?--and that we should keep beating our heads against this wall?...You will do a great job and go far with SOE!!!!

There are no promises being made that you will see immediate changes implemented. This is simply to gauge what you feel is important so that I can discuss this further with the team. I am going through a few professions at a time so if you don't see this post in another forum you participate in, do not worry. I will get to the other forums in due time

*there's that slap in the face I was looking for!!!!*...thank you, for allowing us the opportunity to repeat ourselves adnauseam, and then make like we're starting"fresh" --"from this point forward, there are no promises...now tell me again what needs to be done...ok, I got it...now tell me again, but this time use words you haven't used before...ok good, but I'm not feeling the love--try again"--I can see how we might get excited about such prospects!!!!

Have One line be demolition and gernades. Have it where we can put explosives on something even if its just our existing gernades. A thought is to have the number of charges be a dammage multiplyer when used as a demo charge like have the multiplyer be 1.1 ber charge so if you have a proton gernade that does on average of 2000 dammage then if you use it as a demo and it had 5 charges it will have a 1.5 multiplyer so that it does 3000 dammage or something along those lines. If the charge is placed on something another person has 30 seconds to dissarm the charge.

Err, anyways... Aside from my fantasy of the profession getting a complete facelift, I'd have to say that the one thing I really want to see the profession get at some point would be an assault rifle/minigun/repeating blaster.

We need more conventional heavy firearms basically - it's kind of annoying when half your skills rely completely on consumables.

Thank you. Finally.

1) We got rebalanced and nothing else did. I don't like seeing a bioengineered super-spider get slaughtered by something half its CL. We need more damage, and better protection either from base stats or crafted items.

2) More storage. Maybe the ability to deed pets and re-deed them to store them as data.

3) Specials do not function as intended. When I tell my toxic merek battlelord to Poison a target, I don't want a dumb look from it.

4) No niche. Creature handlers are everywhere in some form or fashion in the Star Wars continuum. We have no role, and no one is interdependent on us, while we are interdependent on many professions. Creature Handler role needs to be defined. CH specific quests, loots, missions (that pay reasonably).

5) Either change the CL cap for called pets to allow for multiple higher-end pets to be out, or allow unlimited level @ 3 pets. At least as a hotfix so we can work with what we have.

6)I would like to see more abilities like Enrage or Embolden. Add a little more diversity and strategy.

7) Bugs. Bugs, Bugs, Bugs. Random pet storage, pets getting stuck on rocks, pets warping, pets not storing when commanded or responding to commands.

8)These silly timers need to go. Riflemen dont need to wait 1 minute to change weapons after a fight. Swordsmen dont have to Peace, wait 1 minute, wait another 15 seconds to switch swords. Why do we?

9) I want to ridea rancor.

If I have to pay for a balanced, even, and fun profession with 3/4 of my skill points then so be it. But I want a return off it. I'm a CH for the critters, and the idea of working with critters. I don't want to be an uber-l337 j3d1 hunter or Nightsister slaughtering machine. I just want to log in and have fun.

If the charge is placed on something another person has 30 seconds to dissarm the charge.

The next line will be artilry where the commando has a laungh tupe where he loads ammo into, and this is where they get the cert for turrets. small-large and then the last box of this line will be the E-Web when it is ready to be brought into the game. Everything will be run on artilry skill mods not a spicific mod for each artilry weapon. At master level you get the ability to use missles which are more likely to hit moveing targets and just more accurate in general, and maybe have this in some way playa role in star ship gunnery.

Next is the Flame line pritty much the same but there are 4 flame throwers to choose from and they. Rifle longer range on specials then all the flamethrowers 20m and high dammage about 350-400 max but slow, Carbine medium range 18m and medium dammage 300-350with medium speed, pistole shorter range 16m lower dammage 250-300 and high speed. The curent flame thrower will be in the master box of commando because it is just so powerful and good all around.

Thefinal line is special weapons. This is where the plane heavy weapons mods come in. This has the HAR, LLC, Beame rifle, Flechet Launcher,Launcher pistole. Their are also specials along withe cone and singel. One move is like pistole whip but you bash your target with the but of the weapon and your unarmed dammage is a modifyer for how much dammage you do. You also get the ability to move while kneeling it is slower then walking but faster then cralwing.

At master you get the ability to appear as your covert while you are overt have. Have it be like force of will buthour timer on it only lasts for a bit. One of the major things for special forces teams in real life is to blind into a crowed so they can commence girallia warfare. The Tiff garbage has gone on too long. If you remove the tiffing it will inprove the game 10 fold.
