Oh, and one more thing. If you're going to critisize our correspondent, at least spell his title correctly.

First of all, i am ESL, and do quite well thank you, with the exception of words I do not type often, like that one /shrug.

Second, what I am refering to is posts like the one in this thread, where he pretty much just says exactly that, bend over and take it, go BE, nerf your entire build, but it is ok because the CU will solve all your problems.

Oh, if you want to do what you are doing in one char now...well you can't, but that is ok, be like him and get an alt! Give SOE more money for the privelige of bending us over.

That is the gist of the post as far as I can see.

Just a few quick points.

1. The Thread maker stated clearly that he already knew that I was representing his concerns. Therefore I did not feel the need to add to them. Insead I chose to try to find a solution to his issue within the confines of the CU as it currently stands.

2. I will be getting analt by finishing the FS quests. As I showed in a different thread the 4 HS lines are very easy to get if you use buffs and buff a person pulling/storeing a pet. Only took me about 2 days to do 3 lines (I had healing already). So with my main (marrow) I will be the crafter and with my unlock I will be the Doc/CM or some other fight prof. Any doc can easily get enough med exp and store it up until the they unlock the right phase quest using this method. I have asked if this method was an exploit many times and have gotten no reply. So my suggestion is to grind it out while you can and get a "free" toon.

3. There is no issue that you have brought up that I have not posted on this forum or in the CU forum at least 2x as often. I have nearly 6 pages worth of posting in the CU forum.

4. I have made a choice on this forum to try to be a bit more constructive. We need to get as much testing as we can done before live or our prof will be even more poor. I would like to think that if we can fight for things within the confines of what the Devs are willing to give us that the prof will be a fun one for those who wish to play that style.

5. You do spell better than I.

There were other threads, but i can sort of see your point. Starting off with "Take a deep breath" to me meant "Take a deep breath, this is gonna sting"

Some of us hate Jedi, and don't want to do Jedi. Honestly,I am busy enough withthetoons I have, let alone try to RPone moreof them, Besides, it is ridiculous that a second toon is granted only on the basis of how much you grind. I do not want to get into that rathole either.

3. There is no issue that you have brought up that I have not posted on this forum or in the CU forum at least 2x as often. I have nearly 6 pages worth of posting in the CU forum.

Well, that at least is great to hear.Since your reply wasvery civil, and explanitory, I willchoose believe you I just mourn the loss of what was a great game, needed work, did not need this. Honestly, I had just seen nothing on this board that indicated you had posted anythingin the CU forums to reflectthe feelings outrage many of us have. After I posted this, I did see one of your posts that did placitate (sp? for you spell checkers? )) me some.

4. I have made a choice on this forum to try to be a bit more constructive. We need to get as much testing as we can done before live or our prof will be even more poor. You are a better person than I then, I am giving up, canceling accounts. I do have multiple but that was not the point I was trying to make. For me, this whole outrage called the CU is a ground game breaker. I will keep one account to see if space only play is viable, but chances are, I will be gone before my May charge kicks in.

5. You do spell better than I.

*blush* Aww, thanks

I am glad you responded reasonably, and thank you for the explination in this post, and the other post, as to what you actually have been doing. Believe it or not, it is actually easier to swallow this lump of brown, gooey excretement from a diseased vrelt, by knowing you were at least throwing a few punches for us.

I have a lot of mixed feelings; part of me hopes this game dies a horrible death in a few months to prove to SOE they are indeed the idiots we know them to be, and part of me wants to see it continue for people like you that seem to have an eternal hope that SOE will pull thier collective head (yes, they must all share one on Product Marketing and Product Management) out of thier derriers and make this the great game it had/has the potential to be.

Good luck, you are going to need it.

I'm well aware of what I can't do in the CU. In no way was I defending it. I despise nearly everything about it, and have not been shy to say so. The point is, if you don't want to take it, you only have one real option - quit playing. That is exactly what I am doing, so don't accuse me of giving SOE more money.

The point of my post was that you unfairly accused Marrow of not representing the community's opinion. That accusation is very false. I commend him for actually being able to post with a positive tone in regards to the CU. That's something I would not be able to do.

Is is just me, or is anyone else saddened by the "just bend over and take it" attitude being exhibited by our so called corospondant?

It is completely ridiculous that most of the posters here are crying for help, and our own coro has taken s different view. My guess is the devs do not even know how we feel because the coro doesn't actually care.

Glad you see things differently! Marrow presents his arguments (not so grammatically) well...

So do you apologize for this statement then?

No, not at all. At the time I wrote it, it was true from a certain point of view. If you read, my gripe was the attitude "exhibited" which was in fact what I saw. He changed the point of view when he exposed more of what he did.

I will withdraw the vote of no confidence however

existing game you can be crafter and have fun in other aspects of the game. In CU it seems to me that if you like to go out hunting
with friends, you are gimped and punished for including crafting in your template. With crafting in there you do after all get less HAM
and you are considered lower level.

Well, 0004 BE is not very skill point expensive. So I dont think it would be that painful to give up on say master CM and just dabble in it. This would allow you to be a 10pt crafter and still be very effective at group hunts, PvP, etc.

If you compair this build to a M. CM/M. Doc and 4004 marksman in Live, for example, I think you would find that the CU is actually better in many ways. (you get a much better weapon cert, melee/range def).

Bottom line is your going to have to make a choice.

If you check on TCEP3 I think you will find that you also need a line from Scout, requiring 29 more points.

Without a voice I do not see how anything from this forum can improve, so what to do now?

I have a lovely guild Im in and would like to continue to help, but I have no energy to start all over as a crafting doc again. Without it I dont feel to be (according to me) a second rated doctor. I either do it all or dont.

Since all ive gathered been put into the resources and crafting for over a year back, Im practicly back to square one, any suggestion to what I should pick up instead. You who have already canceled docs what have you taken up?

My suggestions are:

1. Ease up. Breath.

2. Use this time to reflect. Ask you self what you really like to do in this or any game. Do you like to craft, go out and help a group do things, ect.

3. Then pick your prof.

If you realy just like to crafter there will still be a lots of crafting to be had. I, for example, will be picking up BE and chef on one of my toons. That should satisfy my crafting needs.

On another I will be a CM/Doc since what I like to do most is do group hunts (PvP and PvE).

I dont like the roll over sittle tone here Marrow.. no offence... We really are getting robbed. I want to adventure and craft on my doc toon, same as Ive always done.

I never intended to imply that you did not need scout. Even with scout and medic pre reqs 0004 is not skill point expensive. It is by far the cheapest elite 10 pnt crafting prof. Add to this is the fact that the meds schems are all included in these skill boxes and you have a rather cheap dabble crafting prof.

I responded in the post positive way that I could knowing that the highlighted part of the question was understood. I know the poster knows all of the downsides to the CU so I did not feel the need to rehash them. I was attempting to answer with a "given the CU the way it is, what is the best way to achieve my goals" sort of reply.

I have pages upon pages of posts regarding what I do not like about the CU. When someone asks a fair question I will try to reply without adding all my personal bagage and give them the best answer I can based on the current state of things as I understand them.

Sorry, but I have to disagree here.
Healing and crafting docs need to keep MD and get BE 0004 in addition so they can continue doing what they do now. This means +/- 0 skill points if scout is not required (as outlined in the original published CU documents), or +29 skill points if it is required. So the implementation on TC-Ep3 is more expensive than the current MD, which in turn is more expensive than most other crafting professions (yet being more than a pure crafting profession, so its justified).
BE 0004 being cheap only is true for pure crafting docs.
But this is already discussed in the BE forums, so no need to start it here again
