Thread: I give up!

Was there something specific that you can mention that you think he's slacking on?
Seems every post he says the same thing...too bad, just take up BE and everything will be the same for you.
Seems he is presenting everything as "it is set in stone, get used to it, live with it, or quit". Not once have I seen anything he has presented us that he submitted to the devs, in fact he has been quite silent on that.
I don't see every thread, but I do read most of them. It may be possible I have missed something, but everything I see from him seems to be in favour of the CU, when it is obvious the majority of the community does not agree with that.
It is his job to present the opinion of the community, not his own. That is the crux of what I think he is slacking on.

I agree with blood, crafting was mostly a waste of time ( ressource gatherins, stocking up ) and mainly a tool to makeloads of money, ok I liked to serve the public too.... I've pushed out 10 thousends of buffpacks the last few month with sales around 200m/month... so I'm heavily affected too, but I'll like my new role.. needed in groups again, like back in the days rancor hunting and such.
pvp and pve groups need healers to survice after CU.
Neither of which was my point.

That's the point, it IS set in stone. There is no turning back the clock before the CU. Something may happen AFTER the CU, but if it involves crafting, it's the BE correspondent's job.

He presents the opinions of the community, however he doesn't waste time presenting a "don't make the CU a reality" position because that would be fruitless.
And despite the mindless, inflammatory jibes presenting by individuals like bl00ds0ul, crafting is very much a part of the doctor profession and had a definite place there.

I just find it disheartening that the commuinty is kicking and screaming, and he has just resigned himself, and us, to rolling over.

All Corres. past and present (Marrow included) have kicked and screamed etc. it hasn't done any good.
There is a difference between reporting your issues and stating his opinions. The devs are aware of all the concerns that you have brought up. Indeed, we brought most of them up when we saw the proposed CU documents. Right after we complained BTW, blue glowies were booted from the Corre forums. When the somewhat Alpha testers got involved, they raised the same issues. You all are the 3rd group to complain about how this is handled.
One of the corrres was banned for protesting too hard.
There isn't much to do with respect to the healing changes except work on balance.
Change isn't gonna happen. The only way to significantly protest the CU at this point is to vote with your wallet. Every other protest avenue has been blocked. Even the polls seem to be generating positive numbers, even though everyone I have ever met has been voting low on them.

Is is just me, or is anyone else saddened by the "just bend over and take it" attitude being exhibited by our so called corospondant?
It is completely ridiculous that most of the posters here are crying for help, and our own coro has taken s different view. My guess is the devs do not even know how we feel because the coro doesn't actually care.
/vote No_Confidence Marrow1
Where the hell does this come from? Do you know what he's posted in the Corr or CU forum? That is hardly his attitude. Trust me, he has been arguing very fervently. The devs most definitely do know what we think of the CU. The same points that have been brought up here, were brought up on the CU forums before any of it was even made public. I can only assume that you reached your conclusion because he is actually trying to organize te testing of the changes to doctor. Do you expect him to just deny the obvious (that the devs are extremely unlikely to change their minds) and let the doctor profession get blindsided by a bunch of untested changes? He would be negligent in his duties if he didn't do what he can to assure that the doctor profession is adequately tested.
Don't take the devs' unwillingness to change what we don't like to mean that they don't know what we think of it. They believe that they have to make the SWG doctor more like the EQ cleric in order to assure that there are enough healers in the field. I disagree with that, as do many others. Unfortunately, the devs are holding all the cards. When all is said and done, theirsare the only opinions that get counted. Don't take their lack of responsiveness to be an indicator of Marrow's performance.
Oh, and one more thing. If you're going to critisize our correspondent, at least spell his title correctly.

First of all, i am ESL, and do quite well thank you, with the exception of words I do not type often, like that one /shrug.
Second, what I am refering to is posts like the one in this thread, where he pretty much just says exactly that, bend over and take it, go BE, nerf your entire build, but it is ok because the CU will solve all your problems.
Oh, if you want to do what you are doing in one char now...well you can't, but that is ok, be like him and get an alt! Give SOE more money for the privelige of bending us over.
That is the gist of the post as far as I can see.
