If you want to practice just replace the line

/createPrototype

with

/createPrototype practice no item

All done

Wel Im not looking for a macro such as the sense in UO or that... Im looking for a macro that Ill select the resources once, and what I want to make once, then I can hit 1 button instead of 12 to make that paticular item... or something along those lines if that makes sense

there are several thread in here and at swgcenter.com on this. would only be able to make one at a time from what I have read, which is the right way to do it... you would have to select the resources each time you pressed the button, and if you looped it I think it would get hosed out...

Thanks for your posts on this thread. Sad that it takes me so long every time I come to these boards to filter through all of the fluff and anger. Good to see posts like yours every now and agian.

I can't be the only one who realizes that this description is exactly what a factory does?

Well, I've been grinding on and off whilst stockpiling nice resources and selling rubbish weapons. I used to grind with no macro's, and it was a right pain.

Yesterday I finally worked out how to write a macro that continually loops and does 90% of the work for me. The only thing I do is 2 double clicks every "/pause 7". No mouse moves, no key presses. The information of how to do this appears in many posts (including this one), all you need to do is collate it all.

Last night it took me less than 1.5 hours to grind the entire Firearms 4 box (77,000 WCXP). The only problem now is getting enough steel. I calculate I'll need about 183K more to get to master. Plus the 60-70k creds to pay for the training (I've had to pay for every box so far). I'll make that on my Tech4 guns in the meantime I hope, plus the 18k a day I need to run my mining operation.

Getting to be a Master Weaponsmith is actually quite easy. If you have limitless funds/resources (as some of the guilded smiths do) you could easily do it from scratch in one weekend. Others like me would find that boring though, and I run a purely solo business and like to play making guns along the way. When I get bored with crafting I go and play my BH while my harvesters and vendordo their work.

The hardest part I can see about being a Weaponsmith is gathering all the necessary resources. That is a lot harder to do right that grinding up the skill trees.

There was a recent post on the weaponsmith forum for a macro to grind items - I have it set up to grind armorweave segments and it works great. You have to have 4 or 5 tools and you have to click on the resources to load that screen - but the rest of the commands are handled by the macro.

I think the poster's original intent here mirrors my own concern and that of many others: Anything to help eliminate all the clicks needed for each assembly. Anything to cut down Carpal Tunnel Syndrome even by 2 or 3 clicks per attempt is worth a macro

I find using the return key instead of clicking easier than macroing...

I mapped my enter key to a button on my Nostromo N50 (I didn't use it to create external macros, I never got it until after I got master in fact, but it helps with what I make now), and mapped my mouse wheel to "double click". Using the Nostromo lets you spread your arms so you can be comfortable and avoid the carpal tunnel. You can also map keys on it to function keys and put your crafting tools on it to try and make life a little easier. Then use your mouse wheel on each material to load into the schematic, this will make your life so much easier. Then enter the rest of the way through the crafting.

Without the N50 but using the mouse wheel and enter key I was able to fill a box a night if I had enough material (yes even level 4 boxes). I did mabari chest plates the whole way up.
