Being that we only one notch above novice entertainers (no wait they have quests don't they) they could very well get their wish, especially since they what are pets are for, so if are consumer market pushes we will loose.
But it is the largest group of consumers we are catering to. If the intent for BE's was to make CH pets, then tell me the justification in making Masters fail so much on sampling. Or even why there are so few creatures to sample for Master CH Only pets?
I am suggesting we cater to the biggest group of consumers. CH's can use these pets as well, and will certainly help them in leveling.
Here is in interesting tidbit for you. A Jedi killing Jinda with his lightsabre, gets more XP per kill then a CH using a level 10 pet. Thats a FACT. CH has their own issues, let us not mix them with our own.
As I prefaced, I am through trying to percieve what the Devs want. I am simply going to play the game as it is, and make available the best creations i can for my customers. If the Devs dont like it, let them change it.
Fix the game, not the player.
Cheers!

The fails are there so that we don't hammer out tons and tons of ubber pets quickly, and were designed when CH was in it's prime.
I am done with this post and will close with a quote or 2 from Uncle Ben:
"Just because you can beat him up, doesn't give you the right too."
"With great power comes great responsability."
HINT: That is not just words for Spider-Man to live by.
P.S. I am not flamming. You will know when I flame.

I completely see where you are coming from. I also see where the others are coming from (devs and players alike). I am a master CH also, I have seen the boards rants. I wholeheartedly feel, however, that none of the professions are happy unless they have something to rant about. For most of the CHs, it seems we as BEs are the best target. As a MCH I really dont care, there is no nonch pet that could ever stand up to some of the Aces we can pull out, so why whine. No, I would not take cocker out to hunt lions, but neither would I cry foul if someone tried to pass a poodle off as a mastiff. Yes I would laugh my rear off, but in the end who would be left standing.
CH are picky as heck anyway when it comes to the pets they want. Where as most other players are just happy if their bantha stays alive while fighting a chuba. Some of those non-ch get so attached to their pets they even decide to go CH and start getting into the higher CLs. Let the CHs rant, everyone else is. Right now the only ones that seem to matter are the Jedi anyway. I still feel that as BEs we have more to rant about than any of the rest, so lets revel in the fact that devs choose to ignore our "bugs". If it was so important of a problem for them to address, they should have used the time to type content inscription instead of a board post, but we all know they are busy people so let them do their jobs.
Since Master BEs fail so often while trying to craft their special creations, why not use the fruits of our hard work. I do not flood the market with them (heck I dont even sell the darn things). I do however give them as gifts to guild mates and or other friends. Do they cause problems while hunting? No. Do they give players an unfair advantage in a fight? Not anymore than someone hiding behind their fully armored and buffed TKM friend.
I would love to see the CH levels raised. Maybe that would help quell this burden of a discussion topic. In the meantime, though, we must live with what we are given. And for now we are given the ability to make these beasts. Is it morally correct? Hmm dunno. Is it morally correct to charge and arm and a leg for entertainmentwhilst cateringto less than a quarter of your audience?

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a level 19 pet will be ideal. Now to find the best BE on Kettemoor..

Dalmar,
Then perhaps we should throw around what should a CL10 look like and have Vert and or Pluto take a look and supply input as well, and bang out what is acceptable to both the BE & CH community and present that to the DEV's.
GMAN,
I think this is a great idea. I will start a separate thread for the subject.

Sorry. Greed of real, or imaginary, money does not control my sense of personal morals. I will not create these creatures that I know are completely wrong and unbalanced.
No amount of money will change that.
That makes 2 of us on Wanderhome, Kreegan. I hope all of the other Wanderhome BE's follow suit. It's hard to know EXACTLY where to draw the line, though. If people are left to police themselves, greed will probablywin out. I'm heading towards Master CH, andas the game is right now, it's the dumbest thing I can do. A master or mid-level CH has very little advantage over a non-CH witha coupleof these stupid-good level 10 pets.

As Master CHs, we can pull out 3 of these beasts at the same time or any combination up to the 70 max. That is a distinctive adavantage over and NonCH or mid-level.

Isit worth 63 skill points? More accurately, is it worth the extra 40 skill points you would need to get 1 extra pet out over a 0-1-0-3 CH? I'm not really sure...
