Thread: Schematics!?!?!

I agree completely. I also think you'd be surprised. Most of the forum regulars will agree with you about not selling their schematics.
I always refuse to sell schematics. I didn't work my way up to Master BE to give it all away.
Just tonight I had two people /tell me to find out if I'd do schematics. One of them even had the cheek to ask "Do you charge for doing schematics?" ... You mean some complete doofus is giving them away?? *sighs*
I was out hunting Avian Bone and a guy came up and asked me if I could help him. "Depends what you need." I replied... yep, he wanted a schematic - middle of the Naboo wilderness and I get asked for a schematic - sheesh ![]()
I don't do schematics for others- I will never do schematics for others.

I was thinking exactly the same thing :]

ArthurDentOnBria wrote:Oh, and just to follow up on my last message. There was recently a post in the Bria trade forum where a new BE was advertising his store and his chef additives at the type of prices you'd see on other servers (hell, he may have even gotten his pricing ideas from coming to this forum and reading what other BE's were charging). So what happens? He posts and the other BE's raid his thread, telling everyone how lame his prices were relative to theirs. So this is not just the case of some people "charging what they think is reasonable" it's actually a case of actively trying to ruin the market for others.
Maybe the detractors are actually Chefs who have BE as a sideline?
No, it was me jumping all over him. He messaged me in-game pretending to be a buyer but he was just checking prices. Never could stand that sort of deceit.
Yeah, I hate duking it out with Itoh in this price war that essentially has me selling flora resources at 5cpu. I started out selling supplements at 40k/50k/75k a crate, sales were strong and chef loved the amount of stock I could supply, I made a heaaaap of cash (16mil to 70mil in one week). Then everything came to a screeching halt for 2 weeks. I said "OK, maybe the chef rush is over," and dropped to 25k/30k/35k a crate which a lot of chefs were asking for on thier forum (never had looked at what other BEs charge up to that point). Sales were strong again for a couple weeks then completely stopped once again. Word filtered down through the grapevine Itoh could stock just a much and was at 25k for mediums. Even Co'hen, one of the big-name chefs on the server who setup shop just 300m from mine because of how well I kept him supplied and has become good friends with me, was buying them just because they were a few k less. I decided to make it difficult as hell for him to make a profit and dropped my mediums to 17k a crate, with similar reductions on heavies and lights. It worked for awhile and he disappeared for a bit so I went back up to 20k a crate and then 25k. Two weeks ago things came to a screeching halt again and ole Itoh is back selling at 18k a crate. And in the end, brandy is still 200-250k a crate and wouldn't be even that low if Co'hen hadn't come on the scene to compete with Sinison. Well, I'm out of the supplement business once I burn up some rancor meat. Now I'm a chef and I'm loving the 30k profit per crate on crates of brandy for 75k.
Sorry for the mostly off-topic post.
Damn, meant to include Arthur's post where he says "You know who you are."

Yea, congrats on your ruthless tactics. This is why I said, that on Bria there's no longer a reason *not* to sell schematics. Makes a hell of a lot more sense to sell a schematic for 100k then to make a batch of tissues at no profit.
