Do the DEVs care about the community? Why put the jedi patch out first? Not everyone is a jedi and we didnt need that patch yet. Publish 10 should have been today, people depend on the DEVs and they dont seem to be doing the right job. DO JEDI COME BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE?

the main reasoning as I understand it is they did not want to add the jedi patch after tha combat balance so that the jedi would be balanced along with everyone else. That way they dont have a month or so of jedi being gods.....oh nevermind.

If you look around in just about every forum, not just this one, you will come across several threads that come down to this: "I don't have any credits anymore so you shouldn't either". Just about all of these have an excuse for why they are so broke ranging from the ever popular "Ican't make 2 million a day any longer because of the group solo nerf" to the "I had to pay a <insert crafting profession here> my last 3 million credits for a <insert item here>". Every time I read one of these posts I have these types of things popping into my mind:

I'm new and can only make 3k per mission. How can I ever afford to pay a doctor 12k for a 3 hour buff each day, pay the armorsmith 250k a month for a set of armor and pay the weaponsmith 1 million a month for my krayt enhanced weapons?

The answer here is simple, you're new and you aren't supposed to be able to afford that stuff. The best weapons/armor/SEAs and the like should only be available to the veteran players who would be able to afford them without as much financial hardship. Also, if all you are able to pull is a 3k mission of kaadus then you are wasting your credits on expensive weapons and armor. Even with that being said there is absolutely no reason for you to not be able to make at least 100k per buff session and this would support you if all you did was play 3.5 hours every other day.

I don't want to be a crafter, I'm a fighter and that's all I'll ever do..... but I should be rich, what can I do?

Everyone gets to choose what profession they are. Some are purely crafters, some purely combat related etc. As I look around in real life for a moment I see that I am in the military (a fighter) as well as all my friends and none of us are rich, however a majority if not all of the companies that supply me with items I need for my job are owned by rich individuals. The point being, someone that is purely in it for the combat shouldn't be concerned with being rich. However that is the goal of most crafters. For most crafters the number of credits in the bank and the household decorations is how successful they are in game, while a combat professional would show their success by killing things. If you want to invest all your skill points in fighting you can do that but you shouldn't expect to have a bank account like a master weaponsmith. They gave up fighting to craft and make credits, you gave up crafting to fight and spend credits.

I'm a master <insert combat profession here> and I can still only get 12k a mission at most, how am I supposed to support my habit of expensive armor/weapons/SEAs/furniture?

I don't have a problem getting missions that pay out 20-25k or more when I go overt and group with my ATST. So, if it is really that big a deal for you to make more per mission join the Empire, gain rank, purchase one and then actually use your faction perk. You'll still get high level missions that pay well and all those credits go to you.

There are no other ways for combat professions to make money other than through missions.

Sorry, but that is just wrong.

1. Each person has 10 lots to place things. If all you do is combat then you should have plenty left over after placing a house. You don't even have to use them yourself, there are people that will pay you to rent your lots from you. At most all you have to do is go once a week or so and move some harvesters to another area.

2. If you don't want to use 15 points to be a scout so you can harvest creatures then you can always go after NPCs. If all your skill points are tied up in combat you should be able to take out some of the higher level ones and get some pretty decent loot to saleplus they always drop credits. You can easily pay for the price of a buff session in the looted credits from NPCs alone.

3. For those with JTL I just don't see how you can not make credits. I can make 100k an hour in space easily taking out tier 2 and 3 ships by selling the looted parts. Best of all there's no need for 250k armor, 1 mil weapons or buffs to do this.

4. Look for bargains on the bazaar. I make a decent amount each week by checking the bazaar and finding items that people didn't know the value of or just wanted to offload quickly and then reselling them.

Before the solo group nerf I had 147 million credits, now i only have 12k.

What did you do with all your credits? I mean honestly if you fall into this category then you definitely have problems with budgeting and finances. Just like in real life you have to know how to manage your money or you are going to be broke. I don't think I've spent more than 100 million credits the entire life of my two toons combined and I have blown quite a bit for things like AV-21s, gongs, paintings and such. So I really don't see how you could do this and have nothing to show for it.

To sum it up, my opinion is there's no excuse for anyone to be so broke they can't function in game and there is definitely no reason for someone to cry for a "tax" on the rich crafters and merchants because they chose atemplatethat they can't get rich using.

Okay, Let me throw this out to all of you fighters out there.

Crafting does not make you rich. It may seem that way because you get millions of credits from some crafter for some loot drop. But the flip side of that is the crafter just had to spend a month's income on some loot drop.

Yes there are some rich crafters, there are some rich scouts, there are some rich resource merchants, and there are some rich looters.

You're more likely to get rich doing something other than crafting because your input costs are so high. Especially when compared to the other classes.

Other than that your points are pretty well valid, I would only like to draw the line between attaining personal wealth and the economy. The two are completely different. You had rich people during the great depression, that doesn't mean the economy was going strong.

all i ever hear about these days is how commando are gona get nerfed badly in the curb???? isnt this the same commando where the entire HAR tree is completely usless to us and the Grenades omg dont get me start on nades.... it seems nade are only good for jedi grinders getting combat xp like the fact that

it takes insane amounts of HAM to throw one

the speed on grenades is borked

you can only throw one about as far as you can flick you cigarette butt.

and the blast radius? is this worth it all the radius means to me is how much more im gona get hurt!!! from my own nade!

and the flame thrower well that ok but i really hate the fact that the flame thrower is our only main weapon and as soon as any descent npc comes along it has 100% heat resist and we have to rely on our dots to finish em off (which other prof always moan about--- which i mite add r only half what they originally used to be)

plus our dots wipe the tonnes of health of stuff but dont count towards looting rights.

oh and by the way il quote my self again

"as soon as any descent npc comes along it has 100% heat resist"

there fore this should be the new commando motto

" TiMe To KiLl AaAaRRRrgGG!!!" ----"Sh*T It 100% HeAt ResISt RUnNN!!!!"

hehe okmatey's its a bitchy post i know.... and im sorry, i love commando but please whats with all this "were gona get nerfed all about?"

urm ITs about time it we got fixed! so plz im hoping the curb will fix us not break us!
