what kind of combat do you want to do? You will get wasted in PvP, but if you want to go grind faction with a group of guildmates or do quests, I believe you should be ok if you were to go to carbineer 3434. Although to really be effective you should be master carbineer. Can you drop some merchant? Where you are now, you need 7 SP to master carbs. Maybe one of your crafting proffs could be sacrificed just a bit.


Carbs x4xx gives you the best accuracy wich is vital if you are not going full combat template.

I am planning to ween myself off of merchant here soon cause I suck at it. As soon as i drop all of merchant that will free up 9 SP which will allow me to master Carbines. As far as PVP goes I am not a fan of it unless im in the mood, and that aint often.

Hey I am trying to decide between 2 templates. I want eaither:


1)MLS/MEnhancer/Healer 4x4x or

2)MLS/Defender 444x/Enhancer 3xx2/Healer 4xxx

Im currently TKM/Mswords/Doc 4xxx which is quite a power house if you can get enough money to buy yourself a decent hammer and PuP's or use the Katarn Knucklers.. Being as how i lack the funds to purchase a million+ credit hammer i was looking towards Fencer as my Junti Mace is quite nice now that it is sliced.


I was aiming for TKM/Swords xx34/Fencer xx44/Doc 4xxx because the Master Fencer profession seems to be lacking in any high damage out put attacks. With the combo of the swords trees and tkm, my 1h speed and accuracy are quite well off as well as the added abilities of Leg Sweep, Armor Break and Crit. Stike.


So if there are any master fencers out there who can vouch for the profession or could lend some insight as to what a good template would be, I would be very greatful.

i would suggest 4004 doc in any template you decide, the buffs are great

well im usually on with a guildie who can buff me, so if i can save the SP's i will.... im more concerned about the Fencer Temp and the lack of damage attacks, so any input on the melee side is greatly appreiciated. thanks for the advice though.

If you can afford armor (cheap sets go like 600k on my server), just go ahead and do the FOTM.

Viola, and all you need is some RIS armor. Padded and Maurader will do if you do not have the cash for RIS.

i tried ranged and decided it was powerful but im too cheap to be dropping 600k+ fora decent set of armor every 4th battle (my guild is currently guild warring like 5 guilds) so i would perfer to keep the TK innate armor and the doc heals.. thanks for the responses guys.. and im still looking for insight into the fencer profession and the damage statistics for the attacks on average. (ie. low, medium or high ouput given the weapon etc...)

Fencer damage is general medium-low, as it is mostly for dealing with large crowds.



However with certain lines of swordsman, you can get medium-high damage and still have awesome debuffs and crowd control tactics.

Thats the response im lookin' for. Yea i plan to go up the Armor Break and Crit. Strike trees in swordsman to give me that medium-high output with my junti mace.. thanks for the quick responses guys... any additional info is always appreciated.
