I already asked this question in the pike forum but didnt get any response so Im trying here

Mpike/ Msword/ doc 4xxx

I want to keep pike because It's always been my favorite and I've stuck with it since I first started,

And I was trying to stay away from Mtka/Mpike/dov 4xxx because so many people are doing that and I unlike most people am not a big fan of Tka

Will this template get me a good mix of def and attack or will it make me poor in both areas and cause me to be weaker than people who are all def or all attack

It's a good template. Most powerful specials and the key is armor break.

I USED TO take Defense Stacker 2....do you?

well my current template is Mcarb/MCM/Pistols 0004 (defense tree)...Carbs just fits my style bc i can throw charges and still damage my target efficiently. Pistols is a good prof (speed, good weps esp 4 bh)...just needed some more range with sacrificing an arm.

So, another template subject. Yay, I know you guys like seeing these posts.

anyway, I am trying to choose between 2 templates

Either:

MLS/4440 Defender/3002 enhancer/4000 healer

OR

MLS/4040 Defender/3402 enhancer/4000 healer

At first I thought I'd just got 4440 for that ranged defense, but wouldn't it be better if I took up x4xx enhancer for the Force Armor? That with Aura would be pretty good defense, no?

Your thoughts?

I have been told force armor and aura do not stack. Also, I think forcerun 1 is much better because you don't have the damage reduction forcing you to toggle back and forth during a fight. Gives you less things to worry about when taking down ranged characters in PvP or in BH encounters. Choosing between Aura and force armor and grabbing state healing might be an option for you as well.

ok that's funny...the 2 templates:

1) MLS - Defender 4/4/4/0 - Enhancer 3/0/0/2 - Healer 4/0/0/0

2) MLS - Defender 4/0/4/0 - Enhancer 3/4/0/2 - Healer 4/0/0/0

are the ones im thinking about alot and I'm totally struggling with. Template 1 will not use as much force and will have instant protection (ieInnate Armor isalways on, expect for Aura). Template 2 will require you to use more force, but you get the advantages of Improved Force Absorb and Improved Force Feedback, which I'm assuming are big advantages when PvPing other Jedi. I would like to see some more comments (advantages and disadvantages) on these templates. I'm leaning towards Template 1.
