Thread: Evidence shows we're not getting a fair trade of power for HAM
Do you really need an answer spelled out for that? The system for CL is designed so that they should be equal. The system as it is however is flawed with loopholes. This topic was started to show that by migrating stats from damage and speed into the HAM while maintaining the current CL is actually weakening the pet so in actuality their CL isn't accurate.
Simple logic, of CL10 almost dies when fighting another CL10 then it is similar in rating to it.
If the CL10 is losing consistantly by a large margin to other CL10mobs/pets then it's rating is incorrect and it clearly is weaker.
If the CL10 is defeating other CL10 mobs/pets by a large margin than it is more powerful than CL10, the rating again is incorrect.
What we know however is that clones at the very least are SUPPOSED to have stats equal to wild mobs several CL ratings higher than it sats, this is by design. A CL10 clone will fight against a wild CL10 mob and win by a large margin. However against a wild CL15 its a close fight, ergo the CL10 clones are actually CL15. I repeat... that is by design. Because probots cannot be effected by specials and are also able to fight at a CL15 level while being CL10 they are an ideal baseline for raw CL potential. Thus if you take ANY CL10 clone they should be able to give a probot a decent run for it's money, they do not in the case of 'tank' pets which have their damage lowered to increase their HAM. That means there is an error in how the damage is being swapped for HAM, the overall power of the pet should remain the same. Swapping damage for ham should mean the fight is still close but it lasts much longer. This is not what we're seeing.
I don't see any contradiction, if you don't understand WHY a CL10 clone is actually CL15 then refer to the pre-cloning system notes posted a long time ago by our designer. We asked for our pets to be superior to their wild counterparts, that is what we go. A cloneCL10 is equal to a wild CL15, a clone CL20 is equal to a wild CL25, a clone CL60 is equal to a wild CL65 ect.. ect.. or rather, it's supposed to work like that but it isn't always happening.
