Thread: CL 10 Creatures Still too much

looks like they are trying to make all BE's the same... As it stands there is a huge diffrence with a HoloBE and one that spend weeks studing the math and creature DNA to craft the best possable Pets. Does it realy matter that a very few BE's can spend hours crafting a level 10 pet that has to much health. I have made one lv10 pet that looks a bit over powered.
Talthazar,
I agree with others that a statement like you make here does more harm than good. It does us no good to know that "some pets have unbalanced stats" unless there is also a guideline to back this up. Frankly, I'm dissappointed that you had this type of conversation with the developer and didn't touch on this issue as this is clearly one of the hottest issues in this profession right now.

I wonder if anyone noticed that the first example was weaker then a Fynock?

I simply haven't been given it yet. I would like to point out to people that these pets are not invalid. They are actually legal within the current system and they won't be going poof when they grow up. They are just stronger than intended. It's likely going to be months before another change is made and none of these will change until then. I know this isn't an answer that's going to make anyone happy, but I couldn't see holding the information and not telling you guys in hopes of the rest of the answer.
Thanks Tal.
This is still unacceptable. What, we make these pets for "months" only to have them all poof then? Geez, you could sell thousands of these in "months"! That's thousands of unhappy customers wanting money back and hating us because of something we BEs have absolutely no control over!

First of all, Talthazar, I 5-starred you. Keep the communication coming as it becomes available.
Second, EirCH, I dislike this situation as much as you do (as you can probably tell from my posts) but frankly, a little reality check is called for here. Forgetting server economy differences for a second, a 75+% base composite suit (9 pieces) typicall sells for north of 700,000 credits on bloodfin. With moderate to heavy use, this suit will be worn down to a nub in about 30-45 days if not sooner.
If I can create these 10k HAM monstrosities and sell them to people who will use them for 60 days at full strength after which they will be reduced in stature to mere "normal" power, I'd say at 250,000 credits (again on my server) they are a great asset. I'm going to set expectations with my customers accordingly. If they understand this and still want to buy, great. If they don't understand, I'm fine not selling these at all. We'll see how the consumer weighs in on this.
Cheers-
Hey Tal,
Thanks for the info man. It may be frustrating, but it gives us something to go on. Especially if we have months to work with the current system. Everyone who plays this game knows the rules change as it goes on. If we have months to make CL10 pets like these, and then the rules change, well that's not our fault. Nobody complained to the droid engineers when permadeath was introduced for droids early on. Nobody yelled at the Creature Handler who sold them that rock beetle that was then made invalid by SWG.
After a response like this, as long as we are making creatures within the system, if they get invalidated we will have to aim our angry customers at this link and say "Sorry, its an MMPORG and the rules changed. This is how SWG decided to handle the problem. It's not how I would have done it, but the devs decided to do things this way. Maybe if you file a ticket you can get your money back. I would gladly verify your purchase price to a CSR in support of your case."
I would also like to note on the CL10 wild Cookiepuss found:
Missile,
You will note that at least half of the posts on this thread express the concern that we have no idea what a "valid" CL 10 pet is anymore, NOT that we won't be able to make 4k HAM pets anymore.
Also, these 4k/2k/2k pets that you claim are too powerful are, in fact, pretty weak. Their increased HAM is most often a trade-off for damage, resistance, to Hit, etc.. They are meant to supplement combat characters in a fight, not replace them. And that is what they do. That is what they are designed to do. That is why we even have non-CH pets. Not just to have some retarded bunny following you around because you think it looks cool.
