Fottta;

When you break a 110 posts can you edit the title of this to "Inderect BE issues and how they effect me"

You have some good points about game fixes, but they are not direct BE issues.

GMAN
I moved to Corellia I have no vendor and I don't know the coords to my house, but it doesn't really matter cause all my pets are in the tool box, I may have some in space, but that doesn't really concern you either.

I don't think it will make the profession 'more interesting'. I make pets right now for people to PVP with, but just because they suck at PVP doesn't mean my standard or how I make those pets are any different than for the PVE pets I make. Just the resistances change and maybe the specials. If pets finally got the PVP damage reduction (which is a GCW issue and a CH issue not a BE issue) it wouldn't change how I make those pets or make creating them any more 'interesting'.

The only change I could possibly see is in the amount of business BE's would get. But that isn't a change in the profession, that's a change in the economy.

If you could make an animal with medium armor I bet you'd find pet creation a lot more interesting. You make pets right now for people to PvP with as do we all but as you've pointed out they suck. Sorry but it's a fact and we all know it. Just one simple parameter change to allow anything with a fortitude above 600 to have medium armor would make creature creation a lot more interesting.

This really isn't a bad discussion actually. I don't think it deserves the one star rating its been given.

Not true. CH use to be able to pull more than 3 pets at a time but CH tree requirements got changed etc.

Sorry, you are wrong.

I was a CH in beta. I have been a master handler since August 2003. There was always a limit of three pets at Master and two pets at Management III.

Anyone that called more pets than that was using an exploit to do so.

Good for you, you find pet making inherently interesting.

I, however, am already bored with making near 4000+ pets and realizing the painful conclusion that the PvPing pet isnear worthlessand I would like to see changes to bring the BE/CH pet into the PvP realm especially since a LucasArts DEV mentioned that as one of hisvisions for mass PvP.

note: not sure if this is still a vision for JustG.

This is just combat-balance stuff, and like others said, this is of more interest to CH than to BE. Not all BE's make pets, and not all that do are CH themselves, so our interest in, say whether or not a CH can pwn a BH in pvp is kind of an indirect one. We care that there are CH in representative numbers, and we care that our products are attractive to those CH that exist. But the other stuff, eh, like I said, it's kind of an indirect interest at best.

Possibly, but its my dream... don't shatter my dream... (did my faces come out?)

Speaking of combat balance stuff though, I just think right now that we've reached a point in combat where when you can get a buff and 80% kinetic armor such that you take almost no damage and re-gen almost instantaneously, and you can get that stuff without expending a single skill point, that there really just is no need for a tank for the most part, and it really doesn't matter a whole lot how good that tank is. So whether you're talking light armor, or medium armor, I just don't think it matters a whole lot, because I can't see a TKA saying "medium armor! geez, I'd better drop by TKA skills so I can pick up CH right away!". I just don't see that happening. We'll all just have to wait for the combat balance and hope for the best.

I totally agree with this grave limit that has been reached for this unchallenging gameplay. Also, medium armor on a pet really won't make that much difference because your char is already too powerful in the PVE realm (thus, no need for a CH pet to tank), but it might make the pet more viable in the PVP realm.

LOL! Sarcasm is great isn't it.

Sure, I am selfish, but humble (is that possible?). Or maybe I'm just clueless.

What sort of powers will I get at 110 posts? (serious inquiry)?

You have some good points about game fixes, but they are not direct BE issues.

Some BEs make pets, some of these pets are ENGINEERED to be PVP pets. It is a BE issue imo. Maybe not a paramount one, but its a start for widening the scope of the BE prof. Others have the right to disagree of course.

Btw, you may refer to me as bobafett, the name is a slip of the tongue... peace.

/agree (but realistically we would be asking for alot to have a BE pet with medium armor). YES! We should go for the jugular; the combat balance and the PVP gods will overcome it anyway.

I think you are sticking up for me and if so, thank you. Someone is just insecure and childish. Actually, I am impervious to one-star ratings.
