Creating a level 10 with this system is not an exploit, but it is a menace to the CH profession. The reason people do not say that creating triplets or duos is not an exploit is that creating pets above CL 10 is not destroying the CH profession. Creating pets on CL 10 with 11k/9k/6k 60% kin. resists eliminates the need for any Creature Handling skills.

The CH side of me answers this by saying... What skills did the CH possess that are so great? We have Embolden, and Enrage. Neither of which I think anyone save myself has used in some time. The only skills CH gives you is the ability to tame and possess bigger, badder pets. And train them in the full range of commands, something anyone can do with a droid. If anything, this type of pet points out that Creature Handlers *NEED* to find something that makes them more than what they are now. Expand the commands... give us commands that allow us to be able to whip the heck out of this CL10 with an eopie. The CH handler profession is currently broken; there is not much incentive to pursue it unless you want very rare, very dangerous pets that are still beyond the abilities of a BE to create. I would like to see how this or any other CL10 pet destroys the profession... people that don't use this pet are going to use another pet, or maybe a pet and a droid. Never once have I seen someone yell out "I need a CH to group with! I am Tankless!" As a CH, I can solo bigger, better pets than any one else with comparable skills and the Uber CL10. It just doesn't affect me, or my play style, or even my income, in any way, to see some foolish Jedi knight slaughter animals while this pet distracts them. The only downside I can see is that this pet doesn't need to get StimPacked as often, and that really effects BEs and Docs more, since they make the stims most people use.

Regardless, as Zadokk said (without noticeably even denting an NDA) this will all change with the CURB.A new HAM system means a new combat system means a new pet system... I HOPE. Goodness knows they make enough changes without checking to see if the bioengineer profession is affected.

Y'know, this horse is starting to look like a squall....

Gypsia d'Catman - Tough Chick with a Flamethrower
Catman Dewback - Famed Trando ex-band leader of the Wookettes
Felis Con'Colori - Bothan Spy back before there was a "Spy"
Larrana Darkewave - A Silent Dancer

All dead as of 11/30/05. We tried. Gysia's flamethrower blew up. Catman was arrested for trumped up charges of slavery. Felis grew cold in the grip of Darth SOE. Larrana finally swallowed her NDA and choked.
Hail, Hail the NGE! SWG is dead! All praise the NGE!

I have another POV to bring to this issue. Ask any commando what they would say to the devs allowing a non cert FT to the game that sticks a fire dot. Then tell them its completely balanced because commando FTs and fire dots will always be better. See exactly how well that goes over then think about this CL10 business.

Speaking as a Commando...I don't think thats a good comparison...A good comparison would be a FT...and a commando FT with the flame DOT and the skills to flamesingle and flame cone...which tbh is fine with me...Non Commando can't hit for as much dmg, or as quickly...sounds about the same as pets to me...

Personally, I make these "uber" CL10 pets. I sell them for 150k and do ok with them, but time wise, chef and tailor tissues have a much higher profit to time ratio.

As for the ethics of making them..well, if the game lets you do it, is it wrong?

Can I grief anyone with one of these pets? No

Are they game breaking? No

Do they kill the CH profession? No, the devs did that about a year ago.

Does my selling a few of these pets hurt the economy? No, loot does more damage that I ever could.

What damage do these "uber" CL10 pets do to the game? None that I can really see. They don't help vs any of the higher level mobs and don't help that much vs the medium levels.

Personally, I can't wait for the CURB to see the changes to CH and BE. Maybe the changes will make CH worth doing again and may give the BE profession new options.

Yes your right there is no good comparison. Prolly a better one would be a non doc buff pack that allows anyone to buff themselves for 1100 to all 6 health and action stats. Now let another profession besides doc make em and see how docs would react to that. Even that prolly isnt a good comparison.................

IMHO those things have broken the game just as much as buffs and armor. Without those Pistoleer would be a viable PvP profession, but thats another thread. I know the doc thing isnt a good comparison, but thats because there isnt anything else like it in the game. Im tired so im gonna go sleep before posting anymore................
