Thread: Eggs, Milk, Fish, Mollusks and Crustacean numbers on TC.
Ok I've been working alot on the TC yesturday, eggs are dropped in minimum stacks of 8 by the looks of it, I have at times comes across stacks of 12 as well so the yield appears to have been tripled over what we have at the moment. I haven't had a chance to try the cooking yet and I don't have maskscent so I cannot help with milking figures. Mollusk and creacean NEEDS to be improved, the success rate is around 1/10 and when you do success you get around 2-4 units of materials. It is also exceptionally boring as you stand in water pressing the hotkey for the tool losing around 84 action per attempt, I can see people setting this up as a macro and leaving it on overnight almost. That's probably why the materials don't autostack since you can fill up your inventory using an overnight macro. But the failure rate is certainly too high and the amounts need to be a hell of alot higher.20 minutes of trying gave me 12 crestacean and 2 mollusk.
If you guys don't know how to fish, go visit the scout forums
There's a guy (Volsted I think his name was), that wrote an awesome guide on how to fish.
Actually, fishing has been broken for many people on many servers for about a month now - there is a big thread in the Scout patch. However, rumor has it that the latest patch will fix that (crosses fingers...)
Er...in the scout thread, not scout patch. I knew what I meant... ![]()

You do need to have maskscent to be able to milk a creature. If you try to milk it unmasked, you get a message saying the creature is spooked and cannot be milked from. It's not neccessary for the creature to stand still, but you do need be be within 3 meters at each check, there are 4 I believe, in order to successfully milk the creature. I didn't find it that difficult to stay within range unless the creature decided to run.
So all you need is Mask Scent? No requirement of being a Master Scout? I kinda wish this were only available to Master Scouts, if only to keep the market from being flooded with milk. In other words, while more readily available than before, I'd still like to see it somewhat less common than a CDEF pistol...
