You do need to have maskscent to be able to milk a creature. If you try to milk it unmasked, you get a message saying the creature is spooked and cannot be milked from.
Not being a woman but having a number of close female friends I have to agree that it seems to spookthem when a stranger starts lunging for their breasts.
Remember to use maskscent next time you're out clubbing folks

Where is the modifier on Milking, in the Hunting Line for Scout? Is it like harvesting resources where the higher you get in Hunting the more you get?

Do you know the name of the NPC that gave the schematic?
I don't, but he's hard to miss. Got to AH and go dawn in the gulley under the bridge in the middle of town. He's the only NPC down there.

Is the schematic a one time use or can the artisan crank out a few of these or use a factory to make a crate of them?
The schematic deed you get as the reward is one time use, and can only be used by an Artisan with Engineering 3. Once used however it seems to be a premantent schematic in your datapad like any other.

Wait a seccond....
The mollusk quest you refer seems alot like one I have already done. I hope that the devs will let me do the quest agian, becuase I really want to be able to harvest mollusks (I'm a BE/Tailor)

That was my question also. Ive already completed the banta statue mission. Will we get to do again or will we just be able to talk to him and get the schematic?

I didn't think about that... I would like to just talk to him again to get the schematic, becuase when I did it I was at marksman 0400, and it took my novice pistoleer friend a good deal of work to kill him (this is with him using /healthshot2 and both of us using /bodyshot 2 as well)

So all you need is Mask Scent? No requirement of being a Master Scout? I kinda wish this were only available to Master Scouts, if only to keep the market from being flooded with milk. In other words, while more readily available than before, I'd still like to see it somewhat less common than a CDEF pistol...
The problem with that is that Chef's require milk for some of their schematics. One I've seen SirVimes mention is Bantha Butter which is required as a subcomponent in some foods. Making it too rare would really hurt Chefs trying to make foods. With Chefs buying up Milk I doubt we will see any market flooding. I'm more concerned that there will be enough milk.

This could be problematic. If we've already finished that particular mission, will we be able to do it again In Live? If not, how are we supposed to get the schematic for the shellfish tool? Please bring this to the Devs' attention...
Ok, just got word from Vandessa that no, at this time, if you've finished this quest you cannot repeat it, but that there have been threads pointing this out to the devs. There's another one now on the correspondent board with me asking and her response

FYI, as far as I know, if you did this quest to get the statue and never delivered the statue, you never actually completed the quest... Until you deliver the statue, you should be able to take the quest again.

It's not neccessary for the creature to stand still, but you do need be be within 3 meters at each check, there are 4 I believe, in order to successfully milk the creature. I didn't find it that difficult to stay within range unless the creature decided to run.
