These pets are technically legal, by this i mean the pass the valid pet check. However the devs have said they are extremely overpowered and not what is intended for level 10. Well any moron can see they are over-powered and many Master BE's refuse to make them. Ethical reasons I think, due to the fact some feel it hurts the profession overall and you are makign your customer something that will be nerfed, not might be ... WILL BE. Some people believe that knowingly making a pet that isn't intended to be legal as well as making a pet you know will be useless as soon as it is nerfed, is wrong. Others feel that caeat emptor applies. I for one will not make them and tell anyone who asks that they will be nerfed as soon as the BE lvl 10 code is fixed. So it is up to you personally to determine for yourself.

I'm curious what type of non-creature handler animals you make. What stats do you deem legal and ethical? Do you warn your customers that ANY non-creaure handler animal may be nerfed in the future or do you subscribe to "buyer be ware" when you sell non-CH animals? Can you say someone else is wrong when youcan not be surethe animals you make gobeyond what was "intended" as well? The only guide you have is wild animals. Do you make CL10 animals with 1K HAM? I doubt it very seriously. No one would buy them.

I make CL10 animals that have 6K health, 3 or 4K action and 2K mind. They have 14% kinetic and blast, vulnerable to everything else. They do 70-75 damage with intimidation. They are one shot CL10's made with voritor dasher and sevorrt DNA. I can churn them out by the boat load in a matter of minutes once I've harvested the necessary DNA which isn't difficult to get at all. They don't take any special experimentation.

There is NOTHING that assures me these animals I've been selling will not be nerfed in the future. More-over there is NOTHING that assures me any animal I have made will not be nerfed in the future. So who am I to tell someone else they are wrong when I may be just as guilty?

My ethics are my own. Be offended or don't be offended. Regardless, you do not get to dictate what other people make. That is what the developers are paid to do.

I went through this same discussion with the creature handlers (I am a CH so I get to chat with them even though they don't like it ). This issue is close to my heart.

It's important to us all, and I think we know where the lines are drawn. We all want to offer exceptional pets to all people in the game, we want CH to be strong, popular class, and we want our non-ch pets to be useful. And every once in a while, it's neat to be able to make something truly exceptional that is in great demand and worth a king's ransom in credits. And we want to have confidence that the pets we make are not going to be second-guessed by our peers, our customers, or SOE. Where we differ is how we view the current situation in that light.

Spazzers prefers to start debates with people who he knows cannot reply for whatever reason. Makes it easier to win the debate doesn't it

LOL!

If that were true I'd debate myself. I can beat me every time. Hmm...that didn't come out so well.

Arthur,

To date this is the only statement about the whole non-ch pet debate that I've ever agreed with 100%. Wish you posted it back in January 04.

not if you can get someone else to get the harvester dna for you and have at least 8 experimentation points (providing no crap ups)

You won't be able to experiment enough to make the critter. Work that experiment branch. You may not use all the points all the time but when you do need them you'll be happy you have them.

You'll need a minimum of experimentation 3 (5 points) to make the high HAM critters.

'But why is Fantasia dying then?'
'Because people have begun to loose their hopes and forget their dreams. So the nothing grows stronger. It's the emptiness that's left. It's like a despair, destroying this world. And I have been trying to help it.'
'But why?'
'Because people who have no hopes are easy to control. And whoever has control has the power'
