Thread: question about factories

Better how? I find it easier to build a bunch of components and then have them on hand. So I would make a lot of walls, a lot of turbines, etc. I would have them on hand tomanually assembleitems as people requested them.

when are we going to be able to make bio-engineered goods in a factory?

Is it in the next patch?

When is the next patch?

Quick question, cause I'm getting conflicting info!

I tried making vitality packs in a a food and chem factory and that didn't work. Can I make pet stimpacks though? Which factory do I need to use?

Thanks!

The components for pet stims and vitality packs can be made in a food&chem factory, but the final product cannot be factory made until "the big patch."

I have a few factories which make subcomponents, but I am having a problem with them. I would start one factory and it would say it is active and then another with the same message, but when I check back the next day. Either one of the factories did not build a thing or both. Can you run more then one factory at a time?

Check to make sure you did the following things:

-Paid maintenance
-Deposited power into factory
-Deposited schematic
-Deposited the correct resources that you used to make the schematic
-Told it to start manufacturing.

Yup, I did all those things...I even doubt checked the amounts.

hmmmmm then u might want to contact SOE. I've had that problem with some of my harvesters on Tatooine. When I had them grouped together in a close area, sometimes one or two of them wouldn't work.

When you make a schematic you must then use the exact type of resources you used to make it, to make the items in the factory. If you're using different types, it won't make the items. Example: you used Carbamosi chromium aluminum in your schematic. When you put resources in the factory you used Rotolfirris duralumin aluminum instead. The factory will start up, but then shut down when it finds the resource in the hopper is different than the one in the schematic.

Maybe that's the problem? That's the only other thing I can think of.

Another question on factories.

Do you crafting exp when using them, or not?

I haven't checked it myself but I've read that it sometimes give you XP and sometimes it doesn't. Go figure.
