lol but the remaining 5% would definitely enjoy being able to trade more readily in the trade forums...hey...maybe those of the remaining who are BE would actually CHECK the trade forums for ISOBE threads.....like we always tell the chefs we are....=D

I actually do check those forumsNever much really in the way, and when there is, its always from CHs needing pets.BTW...when it says that threads will be deleted for bumps, regardless of content, does that mean all threads? If so we could always bump up the threads by the SOE guys, forcing them to delete their own stuff. See if they'd like that!!!One of the problems of making such a harsh law is that you often can't enforce it completely. Are they really going to employ people to go through threads to check for bumping?BTW This is not a bump...It seems this thread isn't working very well as we've had a chef posting today. Maybe it's not working so well cause we're not allowed to bump it.

Anyone notice that when this thread dropped to the bottom of the page, the trade posts increased? Thank goodness for a moderator who locks 'em up quick.
Still don't understand why we can't bump this one to keep it up on the top of the page.

That's a very good point. Perhaps we should keep an eye on this situation and...post our results here.
I have noticed that the threads have started increasing over the past day or 2, however, I would also note that a few od them have been trying to be smart over their content claiming it isn't a trade thread...They seem to know not to post here, they just seem content to risk our wrath, which implies to me that they have nothing to lose.

You make some good pointsI have only been a BE for maybe a week tops and I have already get ALL kinds of questions about all the stuff i am "supposed" to be making but have never even tried before
Chefs keep asking me to go into business with the and all I want to do is to figure out how to make me a good low level razor cat
don't let chef's bully you, remember they need you more thanyou need them -make sure you remember that.
7. Where can I find a BE? and -Why we cant from a tailors veiw-
Firstly, check out thevendors list at the top of the BE forum.
Copied every name from list for server, only 3 still had a vendor, only 1 of whichwas actually still producing, and it wasn't even tissue,
the list is completly out of date
Secondly, post in your galaxy Trade Forum.
Must bump in forums or be on 4th page within hrs. people tend to ignore seeking a crafter threads there, no replies with recommend such and such
Thirdly, use the in-game vendors list in planetary map.
No proper listing for BioEngineer, those under Pets are sually JUST pets
Fourthly, use your galaxy Auction channel
Auction channel is worse then Trade forums, with the spam a second mcro sellers there any and all informational requests is gone.
Fifthly, use the character search function
BioEngineers I have known have rarely if ever shown their title, they perfer the combat ones and there are still several 'title keepers' who mastered, set title dropped master and underskills.
If all else fails, lament the BE profession, and you could always take it up yourself.
trying to avoid this by all means, I don't want to be my own manufactureing center, it is a multi player game after all
WHATEVER YOU DO, *DO NOT* ASK FOR A BE ON THE BE FORUM. IT IS NOT A TRADE FORUM.
Why we ask on the forums unfortuatly, I don't but this IS why I am tempted
So it sometimes is more then just saying dont post here, alot have spent days seeking a BE to fulfill orders and requests.
But when there are 3 BE, one who does pets, one who does pets and chef, and one who is just the title....
well we tend to want to beg the profession to help us.
It's just my input, not saying it's right to ask, but hope you understand why so many do.
{and btw wayI am constantly reading most every proffesion forum when I can, soI do reconize this problem for what it is }

I think the number of "trade" posts looking for a BE increase when this post leaves the first page.

I'd be interested in reading that for myself
Or follow this link
Threads that are bumped will be locked regardless of the threads content. Frequent bumpers may be banned from posting on the forums. (Bumping has ALWAYS been against the community policies, there are specific forums where this is more "overlooked" [eg: the trade forums] but if it is abused it will be locked also)
And for my own comment:
The simplest way I see around this rule is just to add a little more content.
If we talk, it's not a bump...at least not technically.

This workaround is true, but I'm not sure the SOE people had it in mind when they made the no bumpage rule.
Maybe if we simply keep talking about why BE's a re so scarce and hard to find the problem will solve itself.
We are the middle children of SWG my friends.
Oh and this is not a bump...nope not at all....
