stereo types are around because of a majority of the people do a particular thing so it becomes established. Should I stereo type? No, i shouldnt.. but i figured maybe some other girls would like it, because no guys seemed interested when i asked. So should i not have mentioned the girl thing at all? Obviously it upsets people. I'm not uncomfortable with who I am, or the people who can relate to me!
I dunno, whateva
I think it would be COOL!

I definately thinnk the idea would be better recieved if it didnt have the whole 'girl' angle.
Why should gender matter at all? Why could it not just be that you and some friends of yours would like to have a Tybis as a non-ch pet?

Another site thats good for critter colours is:
http://swgbe.mmospy.com/modules.php?name=Creatures#top
Seems you can make red/pink, brownishor gold/yellow "horses".
Me, I love myRazor Cats, mostly because they look so good, proud beasts they are, but partially because they can keep up with a swoop...I have been known to use the odd Rancor though.....mostly due to the whole Star Wars "feel" of them...

Starphire,
I just wanted to let you know that that poll was totally skewed. All it shows is that 10% of the people who come to the forums and decided to answer that poll are female. I don't know what percentage of actual SWG gamers are female, but a heck of a lot more than 10% of the ones I've talked to are female. I think the last statistical data I saw for the gaming industry as a whole was 45% female and 55% male, something like that. Of course, I've seen many magazines try to say that those 45% must be playing The Sims and whatnot, but I happen to know lots of femail gamers IRL that love RPGs and adventure games. I'm 25 too, and our generation grew up with games. I had an atari when I was really young (I think 3 or 4) and have been playing games ever since.
Oh, and I don't think there was anything wrong with you stating that a lot of girls like to ride horses. A lot of guys like to ride horses too, but that's beside the point. You were just giving your perspective on things.

The 45% figure refers to females as a whole - over the age of 21 the number drops significantly to around 16% iirc, this can ofcourse mean one of two things, more girls are getting into games and in a few years time we're going to see a pretty even split or girls are getting turned off to games as they get older.
As for a lot of the people you talk to in game being girls - they say they're girls but theres really not much way to prove it
I know a lot of guys that play female chars to get free stuff

i can pretty much tell its a girl after a few months of speaking to them. I like to think a few weeks but one guy did have me, but he admited it. I can get anyone to admit to being a girl, ya just have to be smart in your conversations and pay attention. If you get into personal convo sooner or later it comes out.
I have met a hella lota cool chicks in this game. I was just refering to the pole. My perspective. Who cares cause we can't prove anything.
Some girls like horses, that's my angle. If ya don't agree then fine
happy new year!

You're right, Tybis did not make the nonCH craftable list. I've got a copy of the list sitting here next to my computer. (Thanks Sumo. ) After many months of wanting one as a pet I finally made one for myself. The truth is that they are slow. Though, speaking as a BE, I'm sure I could sell a few of these as nonCH. I remember the My Little Ponies too, though I only liked the unicorns because I thought it was stupid the way the others always had their long bangs curled around and tickling uptheir noses. For simple looks in game, I think the gualama is prettier and doesn't detract from the Star Wars feel. But on that note I guess that the overabundance of cats doesn't feel very immersive either.

Shame they didn't get the pet scaling thing in so we could adjust pet size.
