Thread: Make Friends with a Dancer!

I have been assuming that the resource cap would stay at 1000. If it can increase with buff...then my issues with it are moot.
But if it's still hard capped and everyone can take mediocre resources and get uber stims...then it's a bad decision and will have far ranging consequences.
Hopefully someone can clarify.
The next issue if this is the case is what do we all do with the sub-par items we currently have stocked on our vendors? Aside from BE I do a serious Powerup buisness. So SOE is telling me that for the 2nd time this year I have to delete my vendor stock? This is unacceptable as well.
They just need to leave this alone.
When we tested this on TC - the buffee logged off for 10 minutes - when he logged back in the buff counter had ticked off the 10 minutes. Now I'm not sure if he totally logged off SWG or just switched to another toon. I buffed my BE and then switched back to the toon my son was playing then about a half hour later we logged off the game. When I eventually logged back in as my BE, a little over a half hour had ticked off the buff. I think we need to do more testing to confirm that the new buffs carry over.

Now I MUST re-do all my professions so I can have my own dancer to buff my crafters. I usually craft during off hours when the number of people on the server is at its lowest. I find crafting at this time the best because fewer people will ask me for stuff or to do stuff. It will be very hard to find an ATK dancer at these times.
This shouldn't be a problem unless that's the only time you EVER log in. The buffs persist across multiple logins and multiple days, so you can get a buff at a high-traffic time and then craft with it later in the day (night?) when you log in. Just remember to get the buff right before logging off. It will only take ya like 30 seconds.

So, if I don't have my own dancer, I will not be able to compete with the other crafters in the market. Right now the products that I offer have some of the best stats available (8s for chef tissues, 499max damage for pets, ect...). It sounds like the new system will allow anyone to make better items with lesser quality resources.
LuCha - I live in England so I am almost always on in offtimes when there are few people on - it's datytime here ... IF it suits your timetable for crafting, I'd be more than happy to make a dancer/musician on your server and you can just send me a tell to Dor on Bloodfin so I can come and buff you ...
Er ... what server ARE you on?

PS. Just finished reading the rest of this thread and wow - there are a lot of concerns here that the devs obviously didn't think of. Do all crafting professions get the boost in resource stats or just us?

ah... Dor
you are a sweetheart!!!!
FYI: I live in China. The time here is way off, not just a few hours off. I'm 12-15hrs ahead of the US. So when I log on in the evening, it is morning there. And lets face it, there aren't many diehard gamers that are up that early.
Getting an entertainer buff and then logging off looks good on paper, but... It wouldn't work. Some people here are saying the buff goes away. Current inspiration buffs are still around when you log on the next day, so I'm not sure why the new ones wouldn't be. But still, that would involve a lot of planning. (read: ok, i know tomorrow I MIGHT want to make some schematics, so I'd better run around now and see IF i can find an entertainer that isn't afk)
btw:I made a toon on bloodfin the other day and was trying to tip the scales... grind BE or grind entertainer? I have an extra hour or two because my server (BRIA) takes a little longer than the others to come online, I'm just not sure which way to go.
