Thread: Valid Pets A CSR Response
I haven't read anything as of yet by a Dev or TH that said this was an exploit. I think it's most definately a bug.
I myself stumbled on the CL10 pets working on Duo and Trio pets. If the pet does't come out the way I want, it gets set aside for resampleing. I've made several of the "Uber" CL10s, though I don't sell them. I know eventually they will be invalid and would rather not risk what little reputation I have with my customers.
Calling it an exploit insults the ones that have made one either on purpose or accidentally. Maybe that's the intention and maybe it's not. This seems to be the point that causes most of the angst in our community.. not the "Should we or should we not make them".
Personally.. I think if you want to try to make the meanest little critter possible.. by all means do so. What have we got left to do now since most of the Pet business has dried up. I would recommend against selling it though, as sooner or later it will be invalid.
I think NancyJ made a good point about the CSRs also. They are the front line, but don't have access to the information we are looking for. The CSRs I've met in-game have been as helpful as they can be. What more can you ask for?
Anywho.. just my 2 credits worth. I won't be getting into a war of words with anyone over my opinions this time.

I find this entire situation laughable.
How do these BE's know they are cheating/exploiting if they don't know what stats make a pet "illegal?"
Didn't TH say that BE cloning was working as intended? If it is why are we still cloning invalid pets, even when it isn't a deliberate attempt?
And why is it that it's o-k for combat droids to have the kind of stats that would make a non-ch pet invalid?
If I didn't work so hard at this profession then I'd probably have quit it after all the back and forth BS we've been dealing with.
How can the BEs know that they're cheating or exploiting?
TH and the devs are so coy about opening the kimono and showing BEs what is "legal" and what is "illegal" and the pet checks are not consistent.
In publish 5, the devs nerfed wild creatures, whether tamed or untamed, unmercifully, and reduced the call level for non-CH to CL 10. This was all done in the name of "balance".
Yet BE creations that show up as CL 10 but with CL 30 wild pet stats still exist?
How can BEs KNOW what is right and wrong when they are not given any clear guidlelines to help them make the determination? Is it all just gut feel? Meanwhile, I get flamed on server trade forums for pointing out that uber non-CH pets (CL 10 or below) with 9000 H bars and powerful specials cannot be legal pets, yet they are still calllable by a non-CH.
Sometimes I do think the devs wish that CH and BE would just go away. so they can get back to catering to the marketdroids pushing this as the Jedi Academy MMORPG.
