Only resources Tailors need are lots of fiberplast, inert petrochemicals, and metal. Check the FAQ stickied at the top. It will tell you more of what you might need in smaller quantites.

If you really wanna go prepared get some chef veghash, mine is +33 and also a harvest droid (mine is +104 to creature bonus) the two combined usually add about 20 meat per creature i harves on mid to low level creatures and more on bigger ones.

It said that it is becasue "the Work" to kill it normally was done, thus giving us an advantage. IT is also said that it is a balance thing, we received our "harvest" so a second harvest would be un-balanced. It also could be that since most BE's lack combat skill, it is to force us to rely on others for meat, etc.
Most would disagree with the first two, since it is work to collect DNA, and balance is a joke.

I know others have expressed that they feel it's important to be able to harvest our roadkill, but honstly, I think if you stop to examine it, it's not a big deal. Once you reach master you'll kill relatively few animals sampling them. They'll aggro you much sooner than you kill them in most cases. Also, I dunno about the rest of you, but a stack of 50 meat here, 100 meat there is not something I'd want even if given to me for "free". With all the storage problems that plauge me I have to be very fussy about what I keep and what I destroy, and such small stacks of dubious quality meat is certainly a "destroy" to me. All this "feature" does is save me the trouble of destroying such meat, lol.

i completely agree with what u said Arthur, but if we are currently buying Dath carnie meat, and happen to kill a MR from 1 sample, that small amount of 200 meat would help, thats 200 units we dont have to pay for. and while it may not seem like alot, it adds up, considering u will more than likely only get one sample from an MR.

I don't think that it would make that much of a difference, certainly not to me. It takes maybe six minutes average per MR sample I get - from I set out from my lab till I get back including all travel/buffing up etc etc. It would generate a lot of small stacks of meat, and only a few of those would have any real value - the rest would just be destroyed like Arthur said.

Perhaps my methods arent normal or something, but if something agros me, I hop on my bike and go, thenreturn when its done being pissy to get more samples. I usually end up killing everything I sample. And while I dont sample and kill enough to get huge stacks of meat, it would be nice if I'm doing a week long spell of sampling and crafting on Endor to be able to harvest enough meat to make the clones and not have to worry about running out and having to head back to Coronet.

Might be nice to use the sampled meat for the pets we create. Especially the test pets.

Ok, did a non-exhaustive test today.
Two Master Rangers in a group with a non-ranger, Scout type only.
Two Master Rangers each get a 40% bonus when grouped with one another. Add veghash into the mix. We were getting "tons" of hides in a short period of time.
A Master Ranger and a non-Ranger. The non Ranger got a 40% bonus. The Master Ranger got the grouped 20% bonus only. This is changing, but ATM this is how it is. Still, 20% was nice, not great, but nice.
No, droids and pets do not count. I hear tell harvesting droids are working off the old rules still. Could be a bug, could be as designed - don't ask me, I don't use them and have never been a DE. But Bun-Bun my fighter droid did not a group make for harvesting.
Novice Rangers give the group a 30% bonus. Bad news, we couldn't find one (ok, we didn't look too hard either). I am guessing the Ranger will get only the 20% bonus unless there are other Rangers in the group.
And there are way more spawn out there too. Go harvesting.

Yeah i love the new bonuses. But keep in mind that pets and droids dont count towards the harvest because we all complained when they did. Grouping with a pet or droid would cause you to take the old 40% negative modifier. I dont really see this being fixed because if it is there is no reason not to go out grouped without a pet or droid. It woudl defeat the purpose of this fix.
Which btw has done wonders for my guild scouts and now we hunt together again. It really reminded us why we play.
