Being able to handle a Jedi 1on1 with MBH is seriously a #1 issue for me. Our remaining skill points should be our own. As it stands now, most of us have to pick up an entire elite ranged profession, or go 3000BH/TKM (or some other melee profession) to survive.


Better defenses, for those situations where a Jedi has 6 of his friends with him. Bounty Hunters, in my opinion, should be one of the most vicious combat professions in the game.


A more lethal LLC. (this weapon should decimate all.. but right now, it's only really used for the grind to MBH)



All in all, I think ifa group of 6people pick a fight with a Master Bounty Hunter, they should really have the fight of their lives. And on the odd chance that the MBH is defeated, the opposing lone survivor should belimping away,crippled to all hell, debating if he ever wanted to try it again.

Hello everyone,

My first post here, so be gentle. I've read nearly (if not all) posts in the BH forums. Alot of useful, intelligent (and some not so) information and opinions. Now... on to our "profession" and how we interact with Jedi.

To begin, I am a BH on one server and a Jedi on another, so I am well aware of both sides of this proverbial coin. First of all, I do NOT want Jedi to be nerfed or have their powers "balanced" as many have suggested on many forums. I think some work needs to be done with the ranged block, as a static 85% regardless of weapon type or numbers faced is ridiculous. Okay, so 85% block for any energy single shot against a single opponent, I can deal with. A scatter pistol is however, NOT a single shot weapon by definition. The LLC is a "concentrated burst of electricity" which seems to imply some sort of "burst" weapon. Clearly when it was designed by the devs AS a BH ONLY weapon, it was certainly intended to be a weapon which could potentially hurt Jedi, so why again, would it have only a 15% to hit BEFORE taking into account whatever damage mitigation Jedi will absorb?

Onto my next point, choice of weapon uniques (or lack thereof). As a BH you get two weapons and only two, that are class unique. A scatter pistol and the impotent LLC. I cannot fathom why a Commando has so many more weapon options than a BH. In keeping with canon, I haven't seen ANY BH use a LLC, but I have seen rocket packs, wrist flame thrower, cool "bat-arangs" and various other inventive gadgets, but that's another thread. Let's deal with the scatter first. It's a higher HAM than most,acid pistol with typically slower attack speeds (ubers nothwithstanding) Okay, so why use a scatter in Jedi PvP? Well by namesake, it is supposed to shoot (as the animates demonstrate) several bolts at once, presumably to make Jedi saber block more difficult, yes? Actual result? Little difference in PvP Jedi than other pistols, if not worse in some cases. Verdict? Best to not even try to engage a Jedi with ANY pistol in the game's current state. Now the ever unpopular LLC. Ranged weapon? Not if you want to use either of it's (only) 2 specials, it isn't. To use Lightning single 1 or 2, you must close to near melee range for it to even work. I cannot tell you how many times I get the annoying "target not in range". So I close to 15 meters and let it fly and in no time flat, I am toe to toe with a Jedi and his lighted stick. I won't even cover the accuracy issue. Result? Even worse choice than a scatter in Jedi PvP.

This combined with ineffective armor, little to no defense mods, it comes to no surprise that the only REAL Bounty Hunters aren't "bounty hunters" at all. Who can blame anyone who wants to kill Jedi, becoming a TKM/BH 3/0/0/0 ? "Master" Bounty Hunters certainly cannot get the job done. Okay, so I know what you might be thinking at this point.. "this guy just doesn't know how to kill a Jedi properly", right? Wrong. I am a Jedi on one server and I am only killed by gank squads, other Jedi or by TKM/Swords who have BH Inv 3. As a MBH, I HAVE soloed jedi even though my template is shall we say, more "pure" to the game design? (MBH/Rifles) But those few that have NOT wiped the planet with my hide I have caught with their pants down. {Killed one in a salon, getting his stats migrated... waited outside and eavesdropped til I heard that they were underway, then walked in and whacked him and told the ID "Sorry about the mess" and tipped her 5k (the nominal ID fee for stats)}

Back to my original point. I don't want Jedi weakened, I want Bounty Hunters to be what they were designed to be, "THE" profession to seek that is the first, best way to kill a Jedi. With a Jedi population explosion and scores whining about Jedi PvP "Balancing", it seems to me that the solution is simple and already here by design OF the game. Give BH's back, that which they should have had all along, the weapons, that can potentially hurt Jedi. Learning HOW to use those BH unique weapons is OUR job. I don't want it to be easy, so do NOT nerf Jedi. Any TRUE BH, loves the hunt and loves to out-think (not out-tank) his mark.

1. We need a good BH carbine


2. We should have double pistols at MBH


3. LLC's suk big time


4.We have no defenses unless we stack


5. How are we expected to kill any half decent jedi with problems 1-4

At the outset I disagree with anyone that states that unless you are MBH you are not a BH. MBH used to mean something and thanks to the DEVs and screaming Jedi, it doesn't anymore. I have a Jedi and a BH as well. So I feel that I can also speak from both sides. Bottom line is MBH is broken because the DEVs stripped it from being what it should be. The best means possible to hunt and kill Jedi. However, the TKM class is, based on the SW cannons, an order trainined to kill Jedi as well. Difference is TKM works against Jedi.


Here are my suggestions:


1. MBH should be able to trap, like rangers trap, targets.

2. Weild two pistol, the second with some diminishing to hit.

3. Be able to share marks with people in their group. Yes this would create raiding parties, but I think that would keep the power gaming jedi from thinking they are unstoppable and weilding their powers so openly. Also creates some fun experiences for the party goers. I hunt with other BHs as well as Overts. Only way I know how to survive against high level Jedi.

4. Some armor specfic would be good. The Maldorian Armor can be worn by Bh/Command/Ranger. So drop that a little more frequently. Just give it some SL defense. Also if the jet pack could keep up with Jedi burst run that would be nice.

5. Scatter Pistol should not be subject to Jedi lightsaber deflection. It is acid. Just a flamethrower and rocket should not.

6.And finally fix it that so MBH's can go anywhere to get their mark. I grow sick of Jedi hiding in their house or cantina's that are private. If a bounty was in a house then the BH would bust in. If not give us access to "private homes". Allow us to attack the building and possibly destroy it.

7.Bring back auto TEF. Use of Jedi powers should allow all MBH's to openly attack.


BTW love the hit in the ID tent. That is just too funny. My best kill so far is a newbie Jedi getting in over his head while me and another fellow BH watched him run right to us. Out of the oven and into the frying pan!

1: Make Sprayshot and Fast Blast bypass Saber block by a healthy % (Beef up damage on Fastblast)

2: Make attaining Mando armor quest based (not as easy as becoming a jedi but not as hard as DWB)

3: Lower weapon delay at master BH level by 50%

4: Make LLC a rifle

5: Defences added to Investigation line (ranged and Melee)

Sad but true =(
1: We don't need no special armor.
2: We don't need no new weapons or gadgets.
3: We don't even need more speed/accuracy for LLC or Carbines (they are fine the way they are, they just take to much HAM to use)
4: What we need is for the Developers to re-roll our special attacks back to where they where back before publish 2 take out the timer for switching weapons and get rid of all the food's and other garbage that make knock down attacks useless! end of story

IM tired of seeing wannabe Bounty Hunters running around thinking they are the alpha-omaga's rulers of all slayers of Jedi just cause they have investigation 3 in the Bounty Hunter profession and the rest of their skill points lie in TKM!. To those of you I say, You will never be a true Bounty Hunter

wow tkm and invest 3 is a viable template against jedi.... and MBH is simply not so by saing if u have invest 3 and not master BH u are basically saying if u have invest 3 and the pistols tree and amster pistoleer ur not a BH ??? so u are saying u have to be MBH to even call ur self a bounty hunter??? wow i like to be able to hunt jedi with TKM i can with MBH no way no chance i want to see u take a jedi knight with MBH ALONE n00b

1. f defense, give me more offense. higher damaging specials.

2. the weapon switch delay, mainly affecting mbhs since we usually use carbines for states and kd then pistols for specific pool dmg. reduce it/get rid of it at mbh

3. fix fastblast and the llc accuracy this has been an issue since launch.

4. new weapons, pistoleers got the geno and the de10, rifemen got the dxr and the beserker, cabineers even got the nyms carbine. we got nothing but the dmg on scatters nerfed.

5. more bonuses or mission options at mbh, make it more appealing to get.

The 1 mayor issue I'm having with BH at the moment is:


A lot of knights are making their alts into MBH just so they can take the mission on themself, then kill them with their jedi for free easy FRS exp with no loss over and over.


I say the devs should at least remove the FRS experience for killing MBHs until they find a more sensible system and start thinking stuff throughbefore they code it. THIS is reason for the increase in BHs, not people wanting tobecome a BH to play a BH.

1. WE need more defence i think thats the investigation should give some bonuses in lightsaber penetration to make it atliitle more equal

Would there be any possible way to drop rifles out of the requirements? I have been MBH since before mounts came into the game and have never used a rifle on any bounty, PvP or PvE exchange. If the requirement could be dropped, or rifle speed and acc added in our prof. tree somewhere, somehow combined in the LLC tree possibly, or instead of since the LLC is not effective at all really. If the tree were dropped we could spend the point on the FS defense trees and be fine defense wise. we shouldnt be required to utilize the fs trees to be a capabable combatant though, as noother prof's are. As a MBH/Master Pistoleer we can handle any prof. in PvP with the right gear, be itMaster Swordsman, TKM, whatever. However, the rifles required does not make sense to me, nothing builds on it past marksman, and we really cant use a nice rifle, nor do we have any solid rifleskills, unless im mistaken on that.
