I don't feel sorry for TH. Never. This man has done nothing, check the jedi boards, you want to see someone brown nosing to a certain portion of the SWG community, you get it there.. Longest wait a Jedi post waits for a response is less than 24 hours and that comes from a Dev. TH came into CH forum and called us all Poke-pet masters, our pets were cowardly, etc. I feel nothing but loathing for someone who has no ability to communicate. When was the last time he posted in this forum? I bet you will find his name anywhere but where there are real issues with the core base of the game.


Again, I have had a horrible week, burying babies is not fun, and when I go into a game to help me relax and the game is so bugged that I get more frustrated and upset because it should work, then it tends to come out here.

Forgive me but, this is supposed to be fun for ALL of us not just some uber elite power gaming grinders. I want to know where the Role Playing is in this game, I don't want any more freaking grinding, I want to PLAY, not work.



....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.

I know very well about maintaining a great deal of patience. I, myself, have played this game since 7/2003. I have also been a CH at one point. Nevertheless, it's important you look at the big picture rather specific professions. In my own personal opinion, the SWG team should had created an additionalstaff with the exclusive purpose of fixing bugs and ensuring specials/gameplay worked as intended. There are countless issues that need to be addressed.


If I am corrected and there actually are different types of devs, they're apparently short-staffed or very underpaid. Either way, SWG should consider revamping themselves if their goal is to satisfy to customers who care about new content as well old veterans tenaciously pleading for bug fixes and a more functional game.


I should also add that if anything I feel sorry for TH and now Tiggs, they're the frontline. I know how frustrating it is not having the ability to directly correct issues yourself. All I hope is that they never take anything personally and continue to do their best addressing our concerns. Thank you.







Here is an idea for the BE community and short-staffed Devs. Clone the Devs.....of course I have heard that their stats are crap and you need "taming-vicious" bonus to pull them...lol.


Actually, I think they are understaffed and I know exactly how that feels...RL. We will just have to continue to be patient and hope for the best.

What creature was that?! You can run around Bestine and kill what ever is sitting on the outskirts and hit your first box in like 20 - 30 min or less.

I'm still a BE, but have stopped doing anything BE for the most part for these reasons:


1) The whole pet crafting process....no idea on Difficulty Level til everything is over and crit fails too often to blow all the DNA for 2nd or 3rd gen type stuff....also the CL10 thing is a joke, can make pets with really high HAMs andkinetic resist but those that are actually weaker are above CL10. I have another toon with CH/Fencer tho I think CH is good for a ranged type class, but doesn't work too good standalone.


2)Tailor tissues lack variety and have no decay. Maybe if the clothes at 0 could still be worn but have no mods working anymore....create a reason to keep them repaired and eventually buy new. This is one class dependecyin BE that I find actually working, now just need to get tailors return business.


3)Meat prices and chefs using alts to make their own. Well, I'm not sure how to fix this, but clearly we don't get along. Here is a case where the idea of dependecy existed but the demand was too high and too pricey so they got rid of it. It all centers on needing meat which makes us compete with chefs (our end customer). Take the meat away from someones schematics and maybe things will cool down, although it seems the damage is already done.


4)We are hybrid and that does not involve artisan, yet we need vendors. All the other crafters won't take much to get a vendor (except docs who can buff for money without a vendor). So yeah, make us dependent on merchants (unlike most others realistically speaking) but then make us one of the weaker end suppliers? I mean we have a weak dependency evenon docs for pet stims. Having scout and medic made sense for prereqs, but in practice it hurts too much for little gain. Especiallycompared to chefs, armorers, weaponsmiths.

Take care of them Tiggs, and get them to change it so they have use for the Force Crafting skills, after all they are crafters too.

I moved to Corellia I have no vendor and I don't know the coords to my house, but it doesn't really matter cause all my pets are in the tool box, I may have some in space, but that doesn't really concern you either.

That would be nice; nicer would be having the CORRECT CL once the pet is in the final creation stage, so the CL checks become superfluous. This could be done by "aging" the pet and checking if the pet shows as bad at any point, and if it does, increase CL by one and start over. Simple enough, it uses the current pet check, and if that pet check is ever changed, it can still be done on the fly anyway.

I think the most important issue for the Bio-Engineer profession is that there aren't many useful things we can do with DNA that would be considered "legal."

Creature Handler is a very much useless profession in almost every combat aspect. What we need is for creature handler to become once again viable.


Also, I have seen the idea once or twice before of BE's creating NPC's. I think that would be a great idea if balance could be found in it. Maybe only giving Squad leaders and high-ranked faction members the ability to use them.

Please, please fix the warping. Rancors for example always warp (at least for me). Dathomir is covered in mountains and I have no guns

Personally, Ibelieve I am in the minorityon my issues with the BE profession, so my views/requests might be somewhat refreshing or not


Anyhow, I modified a few previous posts that I thought were important; here it comes (beware,hope you like colors?):


1. Brannoc - *Blue_Harvest|Vhaal|Chimaera* Are there any plans for more creatures to be mountable? IE Rancors? (THere is a sweet piece of art depicting a load of Nightsisters going to war on the backs of Rancors )
justG - we are definitely going to be adding new creatures some time. We are also looking into ways of making them much more viable in combat.

The following is a revisit to this interview on Thursday, July 15, 2004:

1. I wonder what justG means exactly by "much more viable"?

In my experience, petsused in PvE are only somewhat viable; in 1 on 1 PvP, pets are not viable; in mass PvP, pets are only a 1 or 2 attack special annoyance.

Are these assertions that [pets] be made "much more viable in combat" being addressed?


MCH (retired) / MBE (current, but wavering)

2. 3. DOC poison and disease resists make the BE/CH pet attack specials less viable to use in PVP.


This is a major BE prof issue because the BE prof has the power to make pets with these specials AS WELL AS other specials like BS, CS, Int, Diz, SS, etc. AND CUSTOMIZE these specials into RESISTS like 20-100% ACID or STUN resist --common dmg attacks in PvP.


3. Stong Poison should be VERY POTENT, more on par with CM poison. The Poison comes from a creature (which should naturely be more potent) Reason: CL10 pets with Strong Poison is near useless in PvP right now [partly due to the fact that poison and disease are not "on command" specials thatoccur on demand, command.


4. Currently, the BE/CH pet is excluded in mass PvP because the pet is near useless-- it will be incapped in about 3-4 hitsfrom a formidable PvPer. I obtained a CombatRating of 1365 on Bria with CH and a couple of BE pets, but the pet was only a mere distraction.


(ANY PROGRESS MADE to changing the BE pet so that will be more powerful, more dynamic, more strategic, more useful in PvP is PROGRESS INDEED).


In general, my premise is that crafting professions should have a direct and/or indirect influence on the PvP realm because PvPers provideamarket for crafters.


5.Make a variety of BE tissues to enhance the struggling Tailor profession as well. BE tissues with: +block, +dizzy defense, +fire resist, for example. The BE clothing now is limited and "played-out."

No suggestions really...more like a comment.

I feel that, since I became a fencer before I mastered brawler...I feel like by mastering brawler I have enhanced my fencer profession to a very enjoyable level...I feel kinda like a Man-at-Arms type of character and enjoy being proficient at all of the melee attacks.

I'm sure you could improve on the profession (brawler) and the only thing I would do is allow it to make a MB significantly stronger in the elite profession than someone who isn't a MB.
