As someone who is working towards MCH now, was MCH for a while previously, and is following the CH and Test Center forums, I have a pretty good understanding of the CH profession as it is now as well as the future plans. I just tend to be more optimistic than most and far more optimistic than some. I have no problem with MCHs being against everyone, including MCHs, getting three extra slots. Would be nice, but not required, if they would give a reasonable explanation though, rather than just saying "it willrender the CH profession useless." I was justamused seeing CHs first complain about having to delete pets in order to learn specials from new pets, andnow saythat giving them, and everyone else,a few extra slots for storing pets will ruin everything.

I like this idea, and I've been thinking the same thing. They're giving us pets as quest rewards, but I can't use them because I've already got my hunting pet/cute sidekick bunny, and my veractyl mount, and I'm not about to remove either of those. If I had more slots I'd love to pick up something like a cat and maybe a bird pet which would mean more business for a CH or BE, but in the meantime, my datapad is full.

don't worry. BioE's can't make birds.

CHs seem to be a bit touchy these days. Perhaps they'll be in better moods if the new specials patch goes well.

Put me down as for the 3 additional slots.

Yeah, If you were NERF down to an entretaining Profession when you are not, you;de be touchy too.

Hate to say it but we where right there with you for a long time. Hell we where nerfed until the Big BE revampand that took almost a year (maybe even longer it was so long ago), and we still get nerfed at every turn. Like many non jedi non BH proffession CH and BE are a back burner item to the devs.

As for the extra pets I like the Idea, I aslo wish pets didn't have a minimum CL now that size is based on CL for our pets. I realy wish I could have a bunch of litle CL 1 piggmy rancors!!!

Kalin Kitharian
MBE + random other classes as I see fit thru the months.
If your on eclipse and need a hand or just a new pet to keep you company just ask, I'm more than happy to help where I can.

BioE tissues for tailors don't work.

tailors cannot use the nonworking BioE tissues.

BioE cloning has gone from a 'fun, complex, and varied' system to a 'camp-the-elite-DNA, plug numbers into a calculator, and wonder where the fun went' system.

plus... all the items listed in the 'issues' sticky at the top of the forum.

BioE's nerfed? no. but we're likely to be touchy ourselves... especially in our own forum.

I understand but We are already fragile, we are aggro magnets and not only that but Pets sometimes just ignore our commands.

Hehe imagine how i feel as an MBE/MCH, i feel like SOE's most hated distant relative hehehe

I can't see how this wouldhurt the CH profession...It would give them more opportunities to chargefor tame/training other's pets.

The ONLYdraw back I can seeis data storage...but surely three pets for everyone wouldn't take up that much space. Besides that, it's a win/win.

Great idea.

I don't.

Cl 10 pets are moreequivelent tocdef weapons, imo, not some elite weapon like it appears you're suggesting.

Sorry, but you're talking apples and bicycles here, with a touch of sarcasm thrown in as well. Your comparison is not valid. Non-CH's are still limited to max lvl 10 pets and can still have only one out a time. No one is suggesting changing this or the types of pets that non-CH's can have. It mostly just boils down to more storage space, and more variety of pets that one person can have. The only thing I can think of that might be an issue is it does give non-CH's the ability to swap more pets in combat. I guess you could incap one pet, then bring a fresh one out, and repeat more times than you could now. I don't know if there would be any advantage in doing this, and if they wanted to, they could always impose added restrictions on bringing out pets in combat (for non-CH's).

I guess Cookie - what you are saying is that having +3 pet slots with the potential of 5 level 10 pets is like getting novice CH for free. I can see that this would be a problem if I were not asking for novice CH to get +3 slots as well...

As for the fighting ability of level 10-12 pets ... I am a novice CH. I am level 41. Yesterday I went out with my level 10-12 pets to do missions. I have only one pet that knows the group command - my level 10 varactyl. I had him fighting level 39 bantha. Bascially I had to spend the entire time healing him - if i had trying to fight as well, he would have been toast. Also I wanted max CH xp so it wasn't an option but i was still healing him the whole time.

I can't imagine anyone just picking up novice CH for the pet slots - it's a lot of skill points unless you happen to already be a scout or ranger. Novice CH by itself seems ... well ... put it this way ... the difference between the pistol tree of marksman and novice pistoleer is noticeable in improvement (or at least it used to be pre-CU). The difference between having a level 10 pet and having a level 12 pet is not so noticable. I can't imagine anyone picking up novice CH who doesn't have plans to go further with it.

I agree that there should be a distinct difference between CH and non-CH ... but it seems to me that upping the starting level of novice CH pets to 20 (hehe and letting masterCH's to use up to level 80 pets!!!) would be a much more potent way of doing it than by restricting non-CH's number of pets.

If non-CH's want to have 5 pets - why not let them - the level 10's do not appear to be much help at all as fighting partners except perhaps if you are a low-level character yourself. And if you ARE such a low-level character than you will not BE a CH, and also you are likely to BECOME a CH anyway at some point since you have bothered to go out and get a pet and get it trained ... thus showing a definate interest in pets.
