The attribute change wasn't as high in all the experiments I did putting the Hambaba in the Mental Slot, but across the board, it was the only change, at this level of testing, that happened when the Humbaba DNA was slid into that Psychological Slot


Is it the only change? Possibly no, but at this level of testing, I was onlylooking at anythingthat would denote a change in statistics of the final creature. The Mind attribute was higher than the Health and Action attributes on each experiment that followed the process. I could reproduce it 100% of the time with similar results.


Later in testing, I'm sure it will be found that doing the above will have other affects...maybe Resist adjustments, ranged or something. But at this level of testing, those were the only results noticed.


Like everyone here on the Bio-Engineering boards, I was reading all the findings and taking notes on what everyone has for a theory. I wanted to attempt and put some sort of guide together for myself so that I could understand how the system works, exactly. Someday, I would like to tell a customer that I can certainly make X creature with Y abilities...and go to a certain equation/recipe for something similar. I will continue to post my findings on these boards for the betterment of the BE community.


As with all testing of this sort, my findings, also, are only theories. Only the Developers of the system will truly know what exactly does what. Running multiple tests, within reason, exactly the same to see if the final result would change, have shown me what I have posted above concerning which experimentation attribute affects what statistics. It also showed me what mixing DNA can do depending on which attribute slot it is applied to. But remember, these are only my findings and theories. They can be wrong if proven otherwise.

Here is the equation I've been using. For example I'll do health. Add hardiness and fortitude, then divide by two, round up as needed. The number, by the way, will correlate with the percentage of the physique stat. If the midpoint between the two is 632, physique will show 63%. Call this midpoint "x". Next subtract the lower number from the higher number, call this "y". The final variable is a number that is usually between 0.85 and 0.9. I t seems that the more you experiment on a stat, the closer this variable approaches 0.9, call this "z".


Then plug it into:


20 x z + 10 y = final stat


The only modification is that if the second stat (fortitude in the case of health) is higher than the first stat (hardiness for health). Then use:


20 x z + 10 ( y / 2) = final stat


If you run the equations for both 0.85 and 0.9 in the z-variable, you get a good idea of where the actual outcome will fall.


As far as resists go, I've noticed that if you have a vulnerablility anywhere in the physique, prowess, or mental slots, it will show up in the final combine. I knew I was close to CL 70 on my last template, so I wasn't able to experiment on physique to see if the vulnerability would drop out. It did stay after experimenting prowess and mental though. I have yet to test if having a vulnerability anywhere in psych or aggression will cause the vulnerability to stick to the outcome.

On vulnerabilities... I've got several instances where 1 occurance of a vulnerability in Phy Pro or Men doesn't transfer it to the template.


Will crunch numbers off your formula and see if it marries up nicely with my data.
