I never said required.......Artisan was in beta required for Smuggler, much like Bh they wanted high skill point req. to become one. What I was trying to say make it optional and give a bonus to slicing for taking it. And maybe if the change spice to truely craftible, add bonuses to spice exp. to the dom. arts tree. NOT REQUIRED, JUST A AVAILIBLE BONUS!!!!

no..in Beta just one branch from Artisan, the engineering line, was required. not the entire Artisan tree.

you sure it was the engineering tree? in the guide book from back before release it was the business tree that was required, which actually makes more sense until you factor the SPs into it.

Yeah, it was business and as I recall most us absolutely hated the idea. It requred too many skill points and I for one couldn't see why someone doing something illegal would put up a public vendor thereby drawing the attention of law enforcement.

But I still say no to any Artisan requirements or even options if it means that you'd HAVE to spend the skill points in order to be competetive.

Now if you actually give me SMUGGLINIG then I don't care what you do with slicing as I'll never slice again once I can do what my profession is all about...SMUGGLE.

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Two years of "Soon"(TM), a harsh bunch of lies.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie"

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Dancers can't smuggle and neither can I.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Why are there Jedi, I don't know why.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."
