Yes, that's typically what I've always done myself. I don't pay attention to unsubstantiated rumors and superstitious theorizing. I've made (literally) hundreds of pets and never seen any difference affected by the quality of the meat/flora.

So what is a good price for the high level pets?
That is a very loaded question. All we can say is 'It depends'. what does it depend on?
- Creature HAM
- Creature resists and armor
-Creature To-Hit, Attack Speed, and Damage
- Creature specials
- Creature demand on your server
Best thing to do is visit a lot of BE vendors and start comparing prices. Check out your competition.

Highest end pets max out at 200k depending on stats. I've had offers where people offered nearly double that for a good lvl70. I've worked really hard to fill those orders (not all for the profit, but the challenge was what drove the will). I'd say BE is the toughest crafting profession in the game.

Of course, this is on Bria alone. I'm not providing a price guide for everyone.

if you make really nice pets, you will have littleproblem selling them
the only problem with that is it takes a long time for aspiring BE's to find recipes that work
hopefully after the combat balance though, demand will rise so start figuring out those recipes now

There's also a few great BE sites that have forums specifically targeted for posting pet recipes.

When you are making the creature does the OQ or stats of the flora and meat made a different in the creature?
Rumor has it that the quality of the resources used in any crafting have an effect on the success rate of assembly. In other words, lower quality resources have a higher chance of an assembly failure. But there is no statistical proof of this other then what TH has told us.

No, they do not matter.
=)
So only thing that matters is the DNA sample that you put into it?
So you can use junk flora and meat for creatures and use good stuff for the rest of it.
