Hi,
I am new to this professtion. I created a alt to be a BE and want to see if there is still a use for creatures.
I don't see maybe CH anylonger and want to ask other BE how their sales are with them.
Any help would be great.

all depends on the person, i myself have a Kimo-Jax that i use for tanking, hes not bad, its all about the customer, after the patch though, i feel there will be plenty of ch's again after combat rebalance

After the CH Nerf, creature demand has gone out the window. Only people who use them now are mainly CH/BH people who just love playing those professions. Heck I cant even give away mounted banthas on Tatooine

I seem to have a steady trickle of pet sales of levels 12-28. After that very few enquiries or sales (even the formerly "hot" stuff like CL 50+ pets).
Unfortunately I suspect these are mostly going to "dabblers" who are trying CH and then finding that thier pets are weaker than they expected.
The combat rebalance may help things - but this isn't scheduled until after the Jump to Lightspeed release (October last I heard)- so I guess that will come with publish 11 or 12 around November/December.

Hiya DLord.
Evyl is still a relative newbie BE as well. I have sold one pet so far. :-). I have made and given away 5.
I make them because Damun is a CH. I am still working on getting him a nice collection of pets with various resists. Not all missions require Kinetic alone.
But I do like it. Wandering the wilds of Endor and Dathromir with no fighting skills and a rusty needle is quite interesting. I have spent up to 20 minutes stalking my prey.
So.. my opinion.. make money with tissues. Make pets for fun.

I have to agree with Evyl. I mainly concentrate on tissues for tailors and chefs. My pet vendors really dont sell all that much, I make more money from special order pets then from my vendor.

Actually, the CB is more likely to come out some time in August or early September. Remember, the publishes are only about a month apart... and publish 9 goes live this Tuesday.
Anyways, the best use I've seen for creatures so far is some of the higher end Non-CH pets that are experimented with.
I've managed to make some that are around 6k H, 3k A, 2-3K M with around 28% kinetic resists. When put into a mount skin they make fairly useful PvE tanks, and due to the high health, they rival the higher end droids (plus, you can't ride a droid when your out in the middle of nowhere and your speeder gets blown up.)

I have no problem selling pets off my vendor at all - Ifilled my inventory withDNA last Friday (everything from VD/HP to Merek Harvester), combined with a small house almost full off the stuff and stocked my vendor. All the level 10-20s had gone in 24 hours. I've madearound400Kcredits in the past seven days in pet sales alone. And yeah, I'm surprised as well. Definitely a need for pets on FarStar. But then, I am good

My pet vendor sells consistantly 3-6 pets overnight while I'm sleeping. It's rare that I don't wake up to several sale emails.
Admittedly, I have a great, loyal customer base that I worked hard to get and keep. I also label my pets so well, they are distinctly clear from the vendor selection screen (no one wants to spend hours scrolling through "display" on every pet just to see the CL they need isn't there or the HAMs suck.)
Fair prices, frequent kindnesses and absolutely only making pets of high quality is what keeps those 'Vendor Sale Complete' emails coming in. My clients know I care about the pets I make and they know I care about them as friends.
I don't do special order pets, I don't sell the uber-nerf-me 10's and I don't chase the almighty credit. Don't expect to get financially rich making pets but don't undervalue the wealth of friendship you will get from making good pets.

Thank you guys for the help.
Can I ask one more question.
I know this one is stupid, but I just want to ask anyways. I can't find it anywhere.
When you are making the creature does the OQ or stats of the flora and meat made a different in the creature?
