You get less meat in a group than you do solo. Even grouped with pets reduces the amount you harvest.

It's all about mask scent.
I got some XP harvesting, sure. Where I got most of my experience was masking then just running around, doing whatever I'd normally do. Especially on the medium level planets like Yavin or Lok. The creatures aren't quite as nasty Dathomir or Endor, but give pretty good XP when mask scent works. When you can run through a lair and get 500 XP it doesn't take long to do.
Spend a bit of money and get a mask scent shirt. You're going to want it eventually anway. Then just run around.

By far look for a group or get a guild group to come with u to dath and u dont even have to kill the rancors just havest them
Rancors give 1500 to 1800 scout xp per harvest, i just leveld hunting 1-4 and explorer 1-4 again in a couple hours and got 10k meat!

Here's how I did it.
I grouped with a friend and both of us added our Probots to the group. That was enough to get 10K Fambaa lair missions on Naboo. It only took a few hours to max out both Hunting and Exploration.

I grouped with a few friends when they went Rancor hunting. I couldn't really kill anything so I just hung out and whenever they got a kill, I'd hit it with my simple harvesting macro (/harvest meat/bone/hide). About 1-2k xp per Rancor.

I usedan alt to kill gurk lairs on lokfor my BE....I think it took all of 4 lairs to do one tree(non mission lairs, or mission lairs with a large group or AT-ST grouped). 300+ scout exp per gurk and it took me about 15-20 minutes per tree

You guys really have to look at the date of the original post - this post is over a year old. This was before mask scent gave XP, and when only 1 person in a group could harvest the kill.

A pretty cool trick is to mask your scent, while you are driving on your swoop, as you drive by animals to your mission you are gaining xp. It's not much, but you might as well get some xp for nothing if you can.
