Yes to selling schematics - but there's a caveat.
I'll sell at 250K for a full run, which is only slightly less than I'd make by buying the materials and making the things myself.
There is nothing wrong with selling knowledge.Anyone selling schematics isnot selling the ability to make infinite quantities of the product after all.
That said- I've not managed to sell any schematics at this price, too many idiots giving thier skills away for trivial amounts (allegedly anyway).
Myresponse to complaints about the cost is this BTW:
"The cost breakdown is as follows - 1,000 cr for my time, 1 cr for pushing the button, 248999 cr for knowing how to push the button.
You are more than welcome to become a Master BE yourself."

i'm against it, no questions asked. even if a guildie asked me for it, my reponse is "get me the resources and i'll make it for you at virtually 0 profit, but no schematics"
if someone pressed me for a price, i'd tell them 2 million, which is what i'd make selling 1,000 bsn's at 50k/crate.

Being that I don't make them, and have no desire too, but am always happy to help people out, I would sell a schematic, becuase I have limited play time, and it's easier. I would not sell it cheap, I would also consider trading it for a crate and a half to 2 crates of V-Brandy.
In fact, that's exactly what I would do, because that also saves me the time of going to countless empty vendors looking for it.
I only make pets.

Yeah, I would trade those all day even though I can make my own schematics just for the laugh. There is a lot more that happens after that additive schematic in order to make brandy and get money for making it. The additive is only a small part of it.

I'll sell a schematic priced at the profit I would have made off the nutrients, otherwise. So, basically I don't sell schematics because anyone who has the audacity to ask for a schematic isn't going to pay that kind of price!

I haven't sold a lone schematic yet, but if I did, it would be at 40% the cost of the actual tissues, which is roughly what my profit would be if I had to buy the ingredients myself. The one thing I have done is sell a schematic and a travel pack of ingredients. I did that for EMTs and Mimetic Circuitry where I didn't feel like babysitting my factories. I sold a few, but not many because the tailors generally don't have food/chemical factories.

Heck yea sell them! Charge 30k per! I don't have time to cater to everyones needs, but all want my love. Call it what you wish. I fully admit to selling schematics. Gimme a tell or send me mail. What ya'll don't do I will! I am hear to make money not argue ethics. Yea I don't make pets, but it is hard for someone with no mask scent to sample dna.

I've never actually sold a schematic, but then, I've never been asked to do so. At least, not for BE schematics.
One guy once asked for a synth cloth schematic. I gave him a very fair offer (I would now charge twice what I offered him) but he didn't want to pay anything at all, apparently.
Of course, chances are I've never been asked for BE schematics because I don't advertise my MBE status. I've never worn any BE title.

Reime, at 30k per schematic, you don't make nearly as much money as you should. You'd have to sell 200 schematics to make what I make every week selling actual tissues. We're not talking ethics, Reime. We're talking money too. So not only are you not making much money, you're causing other BE's on your server to not make much money either.
