Thread: new patch notes on TC

now all they need to fix is the sampling while fighting, I personally think that I have the skills to stick a needle in an animal while it is angry with me.
LOL. I've been a victim of a griefing ploy where people will intentionally shoot an animal I am trying to sample, then ride away on a speeder and leave me to deal with it.
Approaching some creatures (mutant rancors, for example) is so difficult, that when I finally get to one, to have someone make it turn aggro intentionally has at times made me seriously consider quitting the game.
Milking is just as bad.
Maybe someone should have told you that you can't milk Mutant Rancors...

Is anyone on TC to check DNA sampling while on a mount?
Also, for noncombatant rebels, increasing the imperial crackdown is amazingly irritating. I already get killed about 3 times a week by the crackdown. I have no hope against ST's. It is EXTREMELY tiresome.
Having spent about 20 minutes cowering in a starport on Tatooine earlier tonight (had to run in to avoid getting killed by a horde of "green" imperials after an inspection), then burst running out of the city and well into the hills, I can empathize how hard the crackdown is going to be. I better hurry up and find a way to complete the Tatooine Hero quests...
As far as DNA sampling while on a mount... from what I understand of how BE differs from "artisan" derived professions, DNA sampling likely accesses a different library, and I would be very VERY surprised if it is possible to dna sample from mount. Any TC players out there with solid info?
As for some of the other changes... 60-second starport wait times? Hey, I spend $30 to get rid of wait times, and suddenly the wait times for everyone else drop? Hrmph. Are shuttleports going to be running such turbo-schedules? (Don't you wish Delta, AA, and Continental ran that fast?) If you drop wait times so low, why not just make all SPs like Theed, which seems to have no waiting time at all?
Also, they mention they want to get these changes out to live ASAP... any ideas when this next bump is going to happen Live? ~ 2 or 3 weeks? Days?

I can't? I figured if I could milk a kaadu, I should be able to milk everything...birds, snakes, tortons. And to think of all those times I died trying to milk Krayts.
I already had my factory run planned for the Krayt milk with the increased spawns.
I do like the auto-draft for structures. Mayors are upset about it, but imminent domain has to be workable in some other form that will guard against griefing. Maybe mayors should have the option of flagging a structure as abandoned. An e-mail would be sent, and if the player didn't respond within a certain time, say a month, the structure would be redeeded. From my perspective, I work in a cooperative guild, and I use my harvesters for other players very frequently. All but one of us has given up surveying skills, but we all place harvesters--which is a little hard on the one who has the skills, but we all cooperate as we are able. Anyway, I placed 4 heavy harvesters on a vein for another player, but we had miscommunication about who would maintain the harvies. I thought the player who needed the resource would, and she thought I would, since I owned the harvies. On Christmas eve, an e-mail was sent saying the structure was damaged. On Christmas morning, they poofed, taking all the resources and 6 months' worth of power with them. I wasn't in-game on Christmas eve or Christmas day, so I didn't get my little Christmas present until the next day, when I realized all my heavy harvesters were destroyed.
The imperial crackdown is increasingly worrisome for me. As a BE, it is necessary to be able to go to every planet. All my houses and shop are in a group with fellow guildies near Theed, which is one of the heaviest crackdown cities. I've been there for a year, long before the crackdown, in a spot it took a month to find. Currently, I'm stopped and scanned and killed about 3 times a week. I have no hope of even killing one of them. My rank is low, but it is necessary to do most of the quests. I think I can plan on dying even more often now.
Surveying and sampling while mounted is a nice feature. I could see sampling requiring getting off a mount, but surveying makes a LOT of sense. I'd love to see the ability to sample DNA from a vehicle, but I agree that it is not likely.
I wonder, with the Krayt population explosion, there is a Stunted Dwarf Krayt Dragon just waiting to be sampled.

There is Surveying/Sampling, and there is DNA Sampling. Two different things, I am not holding my breath. Looks like Artisan Sampling is the one they have in mind from the way I read the notes.
Really, I'm not either, but that doesn't mean I'm too proud to say, "Hey, I thought you said we could sample from mounts! It must be broken for DNA sampling. Can we get it fixed?"
In reality, I suspect they are completely different in terms of code.

anyone know what they mean here?

maybe changed from OQ/UT to OQ/SR
i have wasted 40mill on resources last month in that case.
