Using A\AA samples (DNA Sample III) of Picket and Fanned Rawl DNA, I could make CL10 creatures last night. Only Picket though...samples from creatures with similar stats produced clones of a MUCH higher CL.

I was having good success this morning using piket, piket, scavenger rat, scavenger rat, piket to getl CL7-10 pets. The recipe still works. If you can, try to put above average (or less) piket DNA in agression sicne the DPS more then anything else is what determines the CL. As a Master BE I can't get less then above average samples any more.

yep...piket only...and even with physique at or below 20%..I still get far above CL 10... I will try again tonight and document actual numbers....

Mutant Rancor DNA is another beast. If you are lucky you might get, on average, one mutant rancor sample an hour. First you have to find the suckers, try looking near the sarlacc POI, the tarpits, POI, and the Rancor cave (WP posted in other posts here). Once you find a bunch it will take you 7 or 8 tries crawling prone to get close enough without breaking mask scent. Then you get about 1 in 10 successfull samples. When (not if, but when) you get aggro at least 50% of the time the mutant will fire off its AoE attack angering its stupid brothers who will all end up beating the snot out of each other. Since they have a lot fo HAM and decent Kinetic resists you are looking at almost an hour jusr for them to finish each other off leaving one or two victors before you are ready to try again.

To top it all off, Mutant Rancor DNA is not all that usefull really. It does have nice resists and zero vulnerabilities but if you make a clone with all mutant DNA or even with three mutant samples and 2 bull rancor samples you end up with a clone too high level to use in any aggresive skin (like the Kimogila). I save my precious few mutant rancor samples to put in a recipe where I am mixing in other DNA that has lower fortitude on it but I want to use for the resists or special attacks they provide. The 700+ fortitude on a mutant sample evens out a 200 fortitude rating on other DNA so I can still get a clone with 500 fortitude for the light armor.

well, whatever the problem was before...it seems to be working tonight... was able to make CL 9, CL 9, CL 11..(hehe..oops)....

just curious, what kind of resists are you all getting with the p/p/x/x/p recipe?

I have never been able to get the picket, picket, xxx, xxx, picket combos to work.

With no experimentation, I get cl15. Some people say to exp in physique to get kinetic up to 20%. Mine always have 41% kinetic before any experimentation. I have tried every combo possible. I tried every combo of tools and crafting stations and I even created a new character and got novice BE and had the exact same results.

I am a MBE too. The MBE and Novice BE had the same 41% kinetic and cl15+ with no experimentation. Most of the recipes I see on the forums that work for many people do not work at all for me. I am suspecting SOE made different templates to group players in or things are a bit different on different servers.

I have found other ways to make good non ch as well as any cl pet but I clearly do not get the same results as most people on this forum...

Are you using DNA from "A Piket" or are you using "A Piket Female", or "A Piket Planes Walker", or ... I have found that the DNA must be from "A Piket" and none of the others to give me good CL10 and below critters.

experimenting once on physique to get resists to 20%, experiment on mental to get it maxed, same on psychological to get it maxed, getting lvl 9-10 pets with 20% resist, 120-130 damage and 5-6k ham consistantly every time

I was playing with this CL10 formula a bunch last night. You guys do realize that the only reason it works is becasue the pikets have the same bug as the nocuous kamurith that allows super uber nonCH pets? With the piket DNA its not so pronounced because the CL of pikets is a lot lower then nocuous kamurith to start with. The bug is the same though... using a creature that has zero special protections and / or all itsresists in effectiveness will allow you to increase resists past the level of the original creature and artificially lower the CL by experimenting on Physique.

Unfortunately, this is still the best way to make almost balanced CL10 pets so I am using it, I just stop experimenting when resists hit 20% which ends up with a pet with about 6k health. Note that if you stick a nocuous kamurith DNA in Aggression to go with the piket DNA in Physique and Prowess you get super uber nonCH pet again.
