Thread: Factory exp
Yes its confirmed 10%.. see the Dev Tracker for more details..
Devs say it was always supposed to be 10%.. but that its also supposed to give you that xp when you are offline or far away.. Those parts still aren't working.. and they haven't given an idea about when they'll get fixed.
This is a lovely thing to read, given that I just bought my factory today. I was seeing 3 points a minute coming in, thought I was misreading it or something. Joy.
Also, put in my schematic, did the run, now it allows access to the input and output hoppers, but I can't get the schematic back, I don't get the "list ingredients" choice, and I don't get the "start factory" choice. Any suggestions?
On Bria / Tatooine.
Same here. Another artisan nerf. Thank you sirs may we have another? How about fixing the ******* bugs instead of nerfing crap.
You do not get your schematic back after you do a factory run. It is just like the resources, it is used up in the process.
Odd. According to the architect I bought the factory from, she gets her schematics back when she finishes a run. Is it different, then, for armoursmiths?
On Bria / Tatooine.
Ok. Good to know now.
On the upside, it looks like the new "practice" option is giving 25% more XP instead of the 5% they mentioned. Or so my weaponsmith buddy tells me. So clicking through a bunch of suits for my vendor will get me to master, or I can just click through ubese shirts and practice on them to finish up the layers branch to master.
I never ran any large XP items in factories anyway except for a few ribbed shirt runs to get to field wear 2. My factories were dedicated to subcomponents. Armor segments, synthetic cloth, fiberplast panels, reinforced panels... etc.
It's really not feasable to craft large amounts of armor in a factory. Honestly, I can rarely get scaley hides in piles >300 or 500. That's only good enough to get a run of 10 chitin chest pieces or something. Maybe you only want to factory run boots and gloves and arm parts.
Anyway, it's not a nerf... It's abug fix.. or balance fix.. I just wish they had done it from the beginning. It's just going to make it really hard for new smiths to make it to master. I mean.. how hard is it to put a 0.1 mod on the XP coming from a factory in the code?
Nice how they took the time to nerf our XP, yet they don't take the time to fix it so we can put crates in , but ya know why would we want game improvments! Lets all spend more time making little movies with our monthy story, even better come to find out my server, Eclipse, with a few others was rolled back 90 mins during this patch. Check Announcments to see if yours was also.
Boourns - Disgruntled, and sleepless as always
So i tried out a factory last night to see if i could mass produce pet food as a guild mate had asked for about 1000 of it. I decided sure, if i'm going to do it i might as well make wastril bread so i get "some" experiance. (yes i know it's something like 5%) Well i had also read that the factories were bugged and made stacks of only 1 item. So i put in the ingredients for a lot of 100, and started the factory. I sat next to the factory sampling while it completed. Well, i get an email notifying me it was done. I open the factory output hopper and to my delight i had 4 crates of 25 charges! I then check my experiance and to my undelight what little experiance i did get went into GENERAL CRAFTING and not FOOD CRAFTING!
Has this always been the case? I /bugged it just incase it wasn't always this way.
Any insight?
