Thread: New top 5 issues
1. Cost Value of 217SP vs. Master Bounty Hunter. Combat Profession Wise, Hunting/Scouting Profession Wise - it does not add up. Needs more than a meaningful combat readjustment - the whole profession needs to be rebuilt.
2. PvP System dreadfully misbalanced - Buffs too high, weapon damage too high, armor too highly depended upon, poison/disease too gamebreaking, Jedi population too gamebreaking.
3. Lack of Distinction - Dabblers are more powerful bounty Hunters, Dabblers can extend their Pistol, Carbine or Heavy Weapon knowledge through Bounty Hunter - only Bounty Hunters and Smugglers have combat skills that stack upon another professions, remove it in place of new weapon classes/types.
4. Organic Jedi Population Control - Imperial Soldiers/Officers should get bonuses, rewards, new perks, and other incentives to hunt down the Jedi Population. Bounty Hunters should be a secondary asset in the Jedi Population organic control system. AFK Macroing, /logout, spying on missions and so forth needs to be addressed.
5. Player Bounties - NPCs should be able to issue bounties upon players for conducting illegal activities (manufacture/distribution of spice, slicing, destroying imperial installations, killing imperial NPCs), Bad faction with criminal elements (-4000 or lower on Jabba, Nym, Corbal, etc.) and so forth.
6. Answer the $#*($ 10 Questions.

and to those who want the missions moved to master, you are flat out *wrong* about the influx of jedi hunting BH's. it's elitism, ignorance, and it's pandering to the jedi agenda. stop it. less competition won't make you any better at it.

YES! there are too many BH on Tarq now just for the invest line and jedi hunting at 3. The influx of these people are going to errode the core foundation of BH. Most of these people didn't care about BH before Jedi hunting was fix so why should they after....Move em to MBH.

Not to be a smarta$$, but does this count as it now being noted in the new Top 5, lol.
And please, factional head-hunting, ie. player marks other than jedi would be wonderful, and moving jedi marks to Master level. I know some do not agree with this, but, it is something "I" would like to see.
1. Defenses based upon reputation - The more missions the bounty hunter successfully completes, the higher offense and defense the Bounty Hunter gains (up to Cap on M.Defense, R.Defense, Defense Vs., Combat Equilibrum, etc.)
2. Ability to destroy another player's armor, weapons, buffs, stats, gear, etc. (Player Traps, or perhaps Bounty Hunter's Force.. Now there is the Light side, Dark side and MY side)
3. Encumbrances/HAMs - Bounty Hunters should get a complete 75 percent reduction of all HAM and Encumbrance costs at Master, prorated through the entire profession.
4. Jedi Gore - I want some of the most henious things to be displayed upon the Jedi's screen when he or she falls to a Master Bounty Hunter. Enough to make them puke, quit, get councelling, buy AOL, kiss Bill Gates - whatever.
5. Duel Wield - I wanna be able to wield two LLCs at once!

I've yet to look but I know they are screaming for a new Dmg type because of Comp armor resists. Granted a new set of VK's for my TC toon would be nice but not needed really. As for my lurking on the TKA boards some are very well thought out and make justifiable claims. It's just that we get the idiots running over here and screaming this and that.
The #1 issue :
A hot fix to stop the /quit jedi characters that type this in and simply can get off without a killThe jedi know they are being beatin and dont want the death so they /quit. I have seen this continuosly on Tarquinas. It makes it impossible to finish them off in time before their (LD) character disappears. Then your get your mission incomplete message.
My suggestion:
Either let us keep the bounty on that jedi character if they log
or...
Automatically make it a mission accomplished and the jedi recieves a death.
There is no way in any shape or form that the /quit is legit. You are tampering with the structure of the bh vs. jedi missions.

It would be nice to have some variety in missions. In SWG, BH = assassin. There should be missions with hard merchandise, i.e. keep the bounty alive while transporting them. At the least this could be implemented with NPCs but it would be neat if somehow it could involve PvP as well. Perhaps as simple being in possession of the bounty yeilds a tef, maybe not a faction tef but a tef towards other bh's...anything to make it risky, competive,and interesting..ala bh in the star wars universe.

I disagree.. We're paid hitmen, hunters - murderers if you will. Not assassins (anyone can be an assassin). Its the whole "lack of distinction" part that needs to be addressed. (Check the I fail at BH thread, second page for my comments on this matter)

Might be too harsh, I apologize. But it does come down to a fine line distinction - What is a Bounty Hunter? Is a Bounty Hunter even a profession? What does being a Bounty Hunter mean vis a vis a Rifleman/TKA who kills people for money? or how about a Ranger/Rifleman? I don't know the answers, and I'd really like to know what development has to say on it.
