That is incorrect. The max on clothing is +25 for any of them. The max amount you can benefit from any tissue enhanced clothing is also +25 as well, regardless of what it says. (My alt is a master tailor).

Have you ever made a +25 tissue? Based on the math involved many believe the max is 20. What evidence do you have to back up the +25?

If the poster mean max per piece of clothing is 25 then they'd still be wrong.

There are no tailor schematics that use reinforced fiber panels in separate slots making it impossible to get +25 on a single item of clothing that uses any of the combat tissues, including Mask Scent

You are right Nancy, none of the schematics using reinforced fiber panels will yeild a higher result than the original tissue bonus. However, non-combat clothing that uses synth cloth panelsmay use two panels resulting in a +25 bonus.

Ah - ordinarily you'd be correct, BUT if you carefully check the schematic for the advanced MaskScenttissue you would see that it can only be used in Field Wear. I am surprised how many Master Tailors make this "I can do anything at +25 in one item" mistake.


Field Wear can only take 1 panel - therefore only 1 tissue.


The max possible on one single MaskScent tissue IS +20 - and that's with resources of 1000 quality, etc.


Feel free to argue pointlessly with me, but any Bio-Engineer worth his (or her) needles can demonstrate this to you with 2 or 3 simple assembly/experimentations quoting percentage achieved and bonus given.

You are quite right - the +25 trousers I was thinking of are +25 TAMING - maskscent I use a combination of trousers and a vest (+13 or so each, vest is worn under the armour, so only my legs are unarmoured in trousers).


My apologies for the inexactitude of the original suggestion (although I did have "or the like" in there!)


If you really want to go OTT though try taking a slug of Jawa Beer as well (up to +20 more to maskscent).

This has gotten more replies than it should have. Shouldnt be so complicated. Im 4/4/3/4 now and will be 4/4/4/4 tommorrow. Sampling xp is easy. go to dant, grab some bol missions, i get 300 xp per sample. Also im doing plainswalker missions now, just run back and forth between them sampling,get missions close together. voila

Essentially, you are all correct, but I was responding incorrectly. I misunderstood what he was saying, and thought that he meant that the max amount of benefit you can get from tissue enhancements (all clothing enhancements included) was +20. Sorry about that!

About the +25 tissue, I have no idea (or didn't up until now) that you couldn't go that high, although I haven't ever seen them that high either. And the Field Wear is Correct as well, it will takea combination of clothing to get to the +25 max on anything with reinforced panels. Although I've always wished that weren't the case. If we can combine tissue enhancements for synthetic, I don't understand why they didn't let us do that with reiforced. But that is a tailor issue and I'll take that to another forum.

o.k. just a heads up to those working on BE. In 2 buff sessions I filled box 3 and 4 of DNA. That's 130k in less than 8 hours. To me, that was fast compaired to the lvl 1 and 2 boxes. I sampled on Lok, doing Gurks and Snorbals. I got between 310 to 450 per sample with little failure.Good luck and watch out for the really big lizards...lol
