Just an update: This is definately going ahead and I need to get the list of the lucky 5 together soonish, so if you want in, you have to let me know now.
When I have the list I will notify people via PM.

I am interested. Played as, all mastered, BE, CH, Scout, Ranger, Fencer, Swordsman, Brawler, Pistoleer, Rifleman, Marksman, Doc and all the crafting type professions. So I have a good base to examine things with. Then again with the hologrinding so do many. Think the most interesting thing would be how useful our pets are after the CB and how difficult they are to make.

So yesterday some of you may have seen a post by TH saying that the correspondants will get to pick 5 people each to come play in the sandbox (lol) with them.
Obviously this wasnt an official announcement so I dont think its written in stone yet BUT - in the event TH does ask us for a list of people to invite, I want to be prepared.
So if you're interested in helping test the CB balance from the BE(+whatever other professions you have) perspective then post here to let me know you want to help and tell me why I should pick you.
I would be honored to be one of the be's fab 5. I hace masterd every profession except bh and ch. Be was my second mastered profession back in October of 03. My current template is master BE/master smuggler, I use my Jedi to gather all the meat i need. So I have a broad spectrum of play to draw upon, as i am sure many others do as well. There is nothing especially special about me other than the fact that I truely love the BE profession, Why else would someone grind it twice, once before holocrons, and once after unlocking ![]()

I am more than interested in helping wiht this. I am almost a MBE and didnt grind most of it either. Ive sat back and worked through most of the bugs and with Master swords also I might be helpful in testing other things to. Ive completely enjoyes the movement through BIO ENG and would like to see a few things chagne to make it an even more enjoyable proffesion for us. I however do not make additives due to the currency issues with chefs. I shyed away. But , maybe an idea of what is expected of us would be nice.
just so we know what were signing up for.

Sounds cool to me. I wouldn't play too much I am a good grinder with BE and know of a way to reach master a little faster than just grinding micros and such. Only problem is that it is harsh. Ya have to do DNA sampling on those low lvl critters outside of coronet. Then just mess with the stats as much as possible to increase the lvl then just slap it in the most complex critter template you can find. I found that with a kliknik you get at lvl 4 you can earn nearly 200 xp or so vs that 168 and 199 BSN and other grinding method.

n'Jessi the Tailor correspondent has a good post about what to expect of the testserver. Read it before you apply to one of the BE positions.

I have done BE twic, once for Holo grind and then again after.
I do a lot of Tailor and Chef additives, but not much with pets.

I would love to be able to help but this is my First MMO and also on dialup so any TC play is out for me.
Since Arthur seems to have the same template as me MBE/Master Rifle, he has my vote to be one of the chosen 5. He also seems to have a mature approach to things and can understand the more even each profession is the more chance we have of this going from a good game to a great game.
Please try for the professions to become a bigger Rock/Paper/Scissors game where each can beat another rather than the current find a weakness in the Template of the month and exploit hell out it.
Just my 2 credits worth
P.S. Keep trying to get us some sort of DNA storage tool, I hate using my vendor full of labeled backpacks.

I appreciate your support, but I can't say that I'm a rifleman
Actually, these days I've been playing an awful lot as a combat medic/smuggler and a bounty hunter/creature handler, but I do hunt frequently with rifleman, and was a novice for some time myself before having to purge all combat off my bio engineer character.

Combat skills are not required
I dont have any
Anything that affects combat affects nearly every profession in the game to some degree.
