Thread: Greater Sludge Panthers
Minas -
Try Talus. You should be able to find them pretty easily. They make really awesome pets. I adore mine.

I found a bunch just north a dearic today... those guys sure aren't forgiving when you miss the tame... I was half dead before I even saw the "failed" notice.
Wow, I made a round trip run between Nashal and Dearic over the weekend and encountered only six adults and one lair. I didn't see one baby.
Thanks for posting this, though. I am encouraged to hear that they are still out there. I will keep looking ![]()
I see them all the time N and NW of Dearic on Talus. There is a spot to the SW where I have found regular Sludge Panthers which are low enough for non-CH pets (look about the same only smaller).
I rarely see a baby pop, but after killing 3-4 of them usually can get one to appear.
Wayward: Lowca, Master CH, Miner
They seem to switch off locations, but most are around 1000 m outside of town. I have spent the last two days finding them, they seem to rotate around Dearic. The first day they were actually only 400 M west of Dearic, two lairs of six adults and two babies. One I tamed, the other aggroed me. Yesterday I found another two lairs south of Dearic but someone was already there, then later I found a lair NE of Dearic. Again all of these were between 400 and 1000 m out.
A good place I have also found a ton is SW of Nashal about 2000 m out. I found a group of four lairs one day (sadly back when I could only store 2 pets), and there were at least four babies around.
GSP's are great pets for the new CH's with Taming and Training one. They hold up pretty well in a fight and the high HAM as adults is great for starting out. A GSP was the first thing I tamed and I still have it, it is the pride of my collection. I recommend getting one.
What are the stats on these things? Everyone and their brother seems to have one.
I was running Jabba missions yesterday and EVERY CH I saw had GSP's. In fact, one high level CH had 3...2 adults and a baby.
Is a GSP better than my Gorge Vesp with 9400 HAM and ranged attack?
I used to usemy GSP and myGW for about everything, but now, I got a couple CRC's that I love. So I generally use one ofmy GSP's and one of my CRC's. I rarely use my GW anymore.
I also have a vesp ... depends on the situation on if I use him or not. Same with my graul mauler and my graul. It depends on the circumstance and what I'm hunting...but 99% of the time I have my GSP and my CRC out.
CRC = Crimson Razor Cats for those who don't know. CL 26, 8500 HAM I think.

Yes, I used to see them in this area all the time. But I haven't seen them around Nashal in weeks.

I'm at 1/1/1/2, so this is exactly my thinking. Once I get Management III, I can have the GSP out as protection while I tame-and -release. Or I can have it tank for my cu pa and get pet combat XP.

8000 HAM, 75% Acid resist, 60% kinetic resist, CL23
The gorge vesp with light armor and higher HAM is superior, but with a higher CL (I'm thinking like 26 or 27)you can't call three at once, like you can a GSP if you're a MCH.
