Rowlyn, thanks for all your help. Funny how you add more clutter to this supposed clutter. And I went back 4 pages and didnt see anything, and did look thru most of the FAQ page.

Youre quite the blessing to have around, now go away.

Yes its 3/4 crafting and 1/4 sampling. If you enjoy macro grinding micronutrients youwill eventually post that DNA sampling is the most horrible thing in the world. If you actually enjoy crafting critters that mean something then DNA sampling will come natural to you and you'll actually enjoy it.

If you're chasing a holocron then get tons of meat and flora, shut off your brain, and grind micronutrient supplements in practice mode. Once you've finished fly to one of the adventure planets in your underwear. Take muon gold and sample every uber critter you come across. Pikets were good for me. Those weird monkey men on Lok worked out well too. Make sure you clone because you will die. The decay rate will destroy your inventory which is why you're doing it in your undies. Nice side effect of SWG's in-game content. Take the DNA you get from these crittersand drop it into the template slots. Doesn't matter where or why because its just holo grinding. Craft the templates in practice mode so you don't end up with them in your inventory. In about a week you'll be a master BEbut its just another profession to drop as you follow the blue glowy cube on to the next one.

A large percentage of the questions asked on this forumby new bio-engineers is, "how do I grind so I can become a master in 2 days? Aholocron told me to." That gets old after a while which is why you get a bit of an attitude from "real" players in any given profession. Don't take it personal. SWG has ruined the professions by introducing the holocron grind to Jedi. They've completely removed any real character development and roleplaying in the game. Not much we can do about itbut that doesn't mean we have to like it.
