Guys your all selling yourselves short. Once apon a time we could make kimo's with nuna DNA - no sweat, no tears.
Compared to the old system the cost for my clones has more than tripled so I'm actually making more money now than ever. Plus my 4 million+ credits would seem to disagree that I'm selling myself short.

Same here Tal-N . . . and I disagree with the person's attitude that just because you can charge more, means you should. Honestly, it doesn't cost me that much to make my clones, I rarely die. It takes more *time* than anything else, and a lot of patience, but what else am I going to do while my factories are either running tissues or pet stim components? Yeah I hunt sometimes, but not every day.
For those crying about decay, what are you holding in your inventory for chissakes? Get some droids, put all of your crafting tools and decayables in them. Partner up with a tailor and get a couple sets of your BE mask scent clothing if that's what you wear, and don't carry them all around with you, just the set you are wearing. If you are spending the time to get DNA, you shouldn't have a full inventory anyway. When I do die on occasion, the ONLY things that decay are my clothes, I don't carry anything else around with me.
For those crying about travel costs - the most expensive place for me to go is Endor at 8k something credits round trip +1k to clone, nothing to insure unless I've just died - I make that back by selling ONE pet at what I consider a resonable cost, and I always come back with enough DNA for 6 - 10 pets sometimes more if I'm crafting them out in the field with my crafting droid.
So, say I'm making my most expensive pet at 100k each (that would be a dathomir trip), that's a million credits a day in pet sales, not including costs (assuming I'm intending on spending enough time to get dna for 10 pets, usually I don't care to spend that much time). I could die 10 times and still make a really nice profit.
Really people, how much do you need to make to be happy?
Hi Pasey... long time no see ![]()
I would tend to agree that your prices are on the low side (I'm also on Corbantis). I set my prices based on their value to me as a long time Master CH (had the profession from the beginning of the game) and comparable value from other crafting professions in the game: namely the armorsmith and the weaponsmith. I was one of the first BEs on corbantis to make CL30-35 pets with light armor and 60% kinetic, and I sold these pets for 200k each. Pets from 36-50 are actually worth less, as they can't be used in pairs. Pets above CL50 are generally special cases, and the exact cost depends a bit on the DNA used. Mutant Rancor DNA is a pain in the patootie to collect, so anything that requires even a single sample gets a big boost in the price. My price for non-CH pets was 25k, but I got out of that market after the bugfix.
200k is actually less than the cost of a medium quality set of composite, or a good quality set of ubese. A lone MCH can run 10 20k missions on Endor in an hour... and getting a good multi-generation pet with the above stats takes me about the same amount of time when all is said and done. I don't think the price is unreasonable at all.
Yeah so you have all those credits, do you enjoy the game more? I don't think so.
The fact is that there's no point making as much as possible because there is nothing to spend it on. My costs account for around 200k a month at the most, I can make that up with a single CL70 sale so there's no need for me to push my prices any higher. If seeing all the high numbers is what you find fun then remind me to buy you calculator for your brithday.. all the number you need right there and just as usefull too.

You're selling yourself short.
Yea, that kind of one-ups-manship really is kind of pointless. 1 million, 10 million, 100 million, it's pretty much the same thing. who cares? You do that a few times a week for a few months and you'll have 100 million +, then what?
But I have to admit, that I like hearing people charging 1 million for a pet a lot more than I like hearing them charging 3k for a pet, lol.
BTW Tal, just out of curiosity, why charge so much less for a CL 10 pet than say a CL 20 pet? Isn't the effort and costs to make the CL 10 equal to or greater than the CL 20? Just curious
If I were to charge only 10k for a CL 10 pet I'd probably cuss up a blue storm every time somebody ordered one, lol.

My pets might be on the low side price-wise - but I know my pet stims are on the high end price-wise. I guess it evens out
