I fished for a little over an hour last night (Bria). Fishing is working, and yields are definitely up. You can also fish and catch crustacions and mollusk simultaneously. One bad thing is that now your bait seems to inexplicably go from "fresh" to "mush" about the time it hits the water often times, which is just evil. Dunno what's up with that. But in any case, hauled in over 350 fish (and about 100 mollusk and 50 crustations)in a little over an hour, which aint bad.

Yeah if you call the same old boring system used for catching fish thats still in place since releasea fix then yeah its fixed. Fileting fish went from 2 to 8. Takes 24 to make 1 stim. WOW im excited. I personally think because nobody will ever say anything because everybody is excited it went from a yeild of 2 to 8, that a true system of getting fish will never be implemented. Seriously....you guys actually sat for a hour fishing? Man I cant believe it. Hahaha. I fished for 5 minutes got a yeild of 8 fish and went,OH screw this, nothing was fixed. I come here expecting somebody to say this is BS and all I see is WOW its so cool fish went from 2 to 8 and I still gotta go through all the BS of tug up, tug down, tug left, tug here, tug there, tug everywhere only to have the line break. Its unbelievable to me. I guess pet stims d's are considered a uber item in SWG. Its a disaster area imo. Pet stim D's are still irrelevent with this system of being able to make 5 in a hour. Anything requiring fish is still irrelevent. I only hope that maybe some of the chef community with raise a stink about this.
Im sorry, i cant get excited about these so called fixes. Its almost unbelievable to me that this is called a fix and nobody is outraged that this was their fix to fish. Oh well. Pet stim d's is still a waste of the master box. I'll stick with stim b's. Turn on the harvestors and get 100,000 flora a day next to 300 fish a day spending 2 hours doing it literally losing your mind while you sit there like a complete dumbass retardconvincing yourselfthis a fix. This is garbage, pure plain and simple.

I'd say give it more of a chance. I have fished for an hour, and gotten many yeilds greater than 8, in fact as high as 24 on my biggest catch. Fishing for 5 minutes and catching one fish is hardly going to tell you anything. Where you used to catch around 100 fish per hour, it's now around 300 per hour. You're not going to supply yourself fishing it all up alone, but it should make it easier to get people to fish for you at a little more reasonable price

In a universe that can clone beings, make starships and blasters, and train their minds to control a force you tell me they have no clue what a fishing net is?
Yes, fishing works in my galaxy. Yes the yeilds are higher. Yes I can actually get enough fish to make one factory run of pet stim D's each week. Its still mind numbingly boring andabout as entertaining as going to the dentist. I find very few players that will do it even after the yeilds have increased. Its hard enough to get people to search lairs for eggs which takes about a split second to do.
I thoroughly enjoy fishing in RL but this isn't RL. Its a video game. Games are supposed to be fun. Give me a freakin' net already.

I'm happy with the fishing changes. I'd say the average filet has gone up from about 5 to 10 or so. I got quite a few 20+ filets. The business about the bait going to mush instantly is boggling though.
As far as the ease of fishing, yea, not eveyone is going to do it, that's the whole point. If I fish for an hour and get enough for a crate of pet stim D's, that's a rare thing, and not something you can get at K-Mart. Same thing with Dath insect meat. Those taking the path of least resistance, can sell B's all day long. Those wanting to distinguish themselves from the pack a bit have to put in a little more effort
One thing I don't quite get is milk. I'm getting about 100 units per milking of pickets and thune mothers. At that sort of rate, this actually makes milk perhaps the easiest creature harvest there is. I guess they are doing this for chefs so they can spit out dozens and dozens of crates made from milk, but it does seem odd that milk is SO plentiful relative to egg or fish.

Well, I was averaging 8 - 10 prior to the change, now I'm getting maybe 10 - 15. Guess it's an improvement, still hard to entice people to fish for me at that rate though.
hmm, actually, after fishing for a bit longer, I'm getting nowhere near as many bites or catches as before - anyone else noticed this?

I"d say it isn't working... but only because the yields are pathetic for an activity that is insanely boring.... but it is nothing new. NONE of the creature harvests yield enough resources when compared to machine harvesters. You can rejoice that you spent your entire night fishing and got 1k of fish WOOOO... compare that to a high capacity flora farm.
