Thread: Why aren't BE's making a fortune supplying your tissues to Chefs and Tailors ??

I'm a master chef on Sunrunner, and I'm a terrible time trying to find a BE that will supply mewith crates of 80+ Broad-spectrum Nutrients. I'm paying 50K per crate of 25.I also know many tailors out there that are screaming for tissue to use in their clothing.

I've been wondering the same thing. I've been looking all day for BE Tissues for my clothing on Starsider. I've searched on 4 planets so far and have found 2 crates of tissue, and that's it. The primary use of BE's has changed since publish 6, but not many BE's seem to have caught on yet...the ones that have a very wealthy now.
Contact Sara-lee and ask her for some. If there is demand I am sure she will make crates for those. I can then place them on my vendor in the bacta tank.
As for money, I give my pet wookie that is a MBE a home, all the food and drink his bothan sized stomach can take (that is wrong), guns and some money for shuttles and buffs. What more could a pet wookie ask for?
As for resource, may decide to buy meat at a higher price point. I do 10cpu and can get 20k a day easially. You can get whatever you want, just have to be willing to pay for it.

Pay more than 50k per crate and your problem should be solved...
I always have a good supply of meat since I pay VERY well for it but my chef tissues cost more than 50k per crate though. But, a few chefs on gorath have discovered a very regular source of tissues, the only catch is, they cost more.

Ok, what is your secret for getting 50 per crate? I only get 25...
While not directed at the orginal poster, all I have to say to this thread is, "I TOLD YOU SO".
I remember a while ago lameting about the insane quantities of meat required for these tissues, and all the BE's jumped up and down and told me, 'Oh just make friends and you'll have so much meat you can't use it all'.
Well, it was a nice theory...
The meat requirements are insane... no sane person is going to spend day after day after day killing things for meat. If the particular meat you need doesn't happen to come from dath, dant or endor, or from krayts forget trying to get a large stack of it.

When the Chef changes came I also originally thought that the resource requirements for additives was too high. But even paying a hunter25 cpu for meat, you'd still make a very large profit from selling the tissue at the going market price. There are more than enough hunters who will go out of their way to harvest you meat at 25 cpu.

Its all about meat and the fact we cant just throw a harvester down to get it. I make good money selling bsn crates but I can sell them much faster than i can harvest meat
Same here, I'm working on a production line but it's hard and I have 2 or 3 chef's interested in my products. Now a run of 1000 takes a factory quite a time ( can't remember off hand but I think it's in the order of 2 days ) plus the time to find the meat ( And I'm fortunate that I can get high enough quality meat for 80+ Nutrients atm on my doorstep ) or I have to pay oodles for it. I do prefer it to pet's though as it is guaranteed income and one run of 1000 is 1.2mill - so better income than anything else I can do - but still hard work.
