Actually you can practice when macro-grinding. It is the quickest way to get any kind of crafting exp. There are several threads that discuss how to do this. Just remember that macro commands are case-sensitive.

With the right macros, you can set up a look that does everything except laod the resources - all you will have to do is repeatedly double-click on the resources, the macro will advance and repeat the crafting process.

To master artisan quickly, I recommend grinding crafting tools (I made clothing/armor tools) for 75 xp each (plus a few points for practice mode). Survey tools give about 55 I think. Even though you don't needed it for weaponsmiht, it is still worth getting master artisan - the two go very well together.

Once you hit novice weaponsmith, you can start grinding projectile pistol barrels (I think these give around 75 weapons crafting xp) or sword cores (55 weapon crafting xp I believe). One or two levels into firearms and you can start making projectile rifle barrels at around 90 weap crafting xp each.

Plan ahead - you are going to need a LOT of steel or other resources depending on what you are grinding.

I decided to give the rifleman combat medic build a shot, and I'm just about done with combat medic, as I'm a doc right now, and buffing people makes that exp grind very quick. Just wondering for those of you out there with this build, if I lob a mind or disease poison to an enemy and it ticks away to almost nothing...and then I hit the enemy with a head shot, how is the xp split up? Do I get full rifle xp or do I get some medical xp for that?

I have a feeling it works the same way as when I was leveling two handed. Where I used my pistol to bleed the target and wait till the tick down to one health and run in there with my axe and destroy them giving me 100% two handed experience. I'm just wanting someone to clarify if it's the same with diseases and poisons.
