Kevie, most of my guildies are real life friends. I'll give them whatever they need no charge and they do the same. Hooking up a pal with a schematic is one thing. Giving or selling a cheap schematic to someone who then turns around and makes a fortune on it due to your contribution is stupid. Using another post in this thread as an example, non-BE brandy - 75k a crate; BE-brandy 350k. Pretty obvious to see who needs who in this equation.

Anita, you're getting hung up on syntax. I'm talking semantics.

The bottom line is that the best bio-enhanced brandy that I've seen on bloodfin is +429 / 39m / 49% fill / 21 uses. Compare this to non-enhanced brandy +200 / 39m / 49% fill / 21 uses ( <= Note same use size ) and the difference in market price is hundreds of thousands of credits per crate. All because of a BE Additive.

Pretty straight forward.

Now that's funny. Me: registered 8/03 440ish posts. You: registered 12/03 417 posts. Who's the troll?

Let's stop the name calling and stay on topic. I'm not the one posting on your boards...

Well, I can't say that I've done a survey of BE and non-BE brandy prices across my own galaxy, let alone across however many other ones.

My own brandy pricing is per use, andbased on buff size. My price for acrate of non-BE brandy made with casks (which I don't do, because it's a waste of resources) would be 25 x 21 x 250 credits = 131,250 credits. The BE brandy, being 2x the buff for the same duration, would be 2x the price, or 262,500 credits. So in my own case, the price difference is not "hundreds of thousands of credits." My price for non-BE brandy in small glasses would be 43,750 credits.

So, when Isee "OMFG non-BE brandy is 50K and BE brandy is 300K! Chefs are such a rip off!" I am usually correct in assuming that the the # of charges being compared is small glasses vs. casks. Most chefs don't make non-BE brandy in casks because it doesn't make sense.

Frankly, all these posts on both the BE side and the chef side make me sad. It wasn't that long ago that BE's were taking bugged DNA and selling over-powered first generation non-CH tanks for millions of credits. Who was doing the "ripping off" then?

I have three accounts, so I collect all my own resources, make my own BE additives, and produce my own food. To be honest I'm glad I don't have to get involved in all the pricing wars over decent quality meat and BE additives. If I did, I'd probably just quit selling food at all.

Anita, that's a very fair pricing scheme in my opinion. If you were on Bloodfin, I'd buy your product all the time.

Well this topic has been kickedaround how many times now?

I personally dont sell schematics as I feel it not only devalues me as a BE it also hurts other BE by removing a potencial market.

I do give away free schematics to my guild Chef but that is the only exception... She is a good friend and she gives me all the Chef food I need for free in return

I also like the fact she sells the BE Brandy for 200k a crate. I feel that by helping her I'm doing my small part to bring Brandy prices back down to reality.

But moving on, I do find it very amusing when I see Chef trolls come over to this board, complain over our prices, then turn around sell their BE brandy for 400k and brag about making 10-15 million a day in sales(though due to their mentality they have demonstrated here I dont know how much to believe)LoL

Right now I wont sell cheaper then 50k for the 80+ meds (35k for anything under 80) and 80k for the heavies.

Not because they are worth that much but because, due to that additives ability to greatly increase the re-sale value, it has that value.

Value is what some BE I think are missing when they sell these schematics for free... Not only are they devaluing themselves, removing a market for other BE, but they are also selling themselves short.

It doesnt matter if it take 3 secs to make, that 1000 schematic can make MILLIONS in extra profits!!!! Don't you think you're entitled to a piece of that pie???

As long a prices stay where they are for the BE Brandy, BE should demand to get their fair share. When the prices drop for the brandy so will mine for my additives.

Despite what some may think, I'm not anti-chef... I'm just anti-take_advantage_of_me

nemthang: i give free stuff to my guildies all the time... because they help me out if and when they can, it's what being part of a guild is...... i'm sorry if your guild's environment is dissimilar to that

Atuallybeing the fact that i post so much is because people like you tend to like to keep the economy on galaxies screwed up.That and i seem to have intellectual stuff to say as compared to the ignorant information you like to spit.Yes i know chefs price gouge but by having people like you tht seem to mark schematics at a huge price it will just drive the cost of a crate of brandy up even higher. The original reasonI posted on this forum is because the person that started this thread came to my thread on the chef forum and started bitching. Then decided to come here and change around what was beinfg said in my forum and try to get your folks support. But hey why should i care i will always get my schematics for cheap, you arent on my server and if you were you would just be on my ignore list.

If you buy finished product you're going to pay an average of 3K a tissue. 1000 tissues comes out to 3 mil. Paying 1 mil for a schematic of 1000 tissues is a saving. Even paying 2 mil for a schematic is still a savings. I fail to see how this drives up the cost of chef foods.
