Save yourself the anguish and don't try to figure it out. If you can sample dashers use them for CL10.

It seems to be a product of the vulnerable stats versus kinetic and energy I believe. If you have a ton of vulnerables and a kinetic under 20 the animal should be viable, pretty much regardless of the HAM. Dasher DNA allows you to get those vulnerables. Just make sure you keep the power down.

See, they carefully analyzed the situation, namely that masters are able to make CL 10 pets with 10k HAM 50% kinetic resists, and 400 damage and decided that this needs fixing, so the novices who make pets like yours were nerfed . Oh, what a debacle. I feel bad for you.

I'm at work so I can't verify my suspicion. Could it be that pikets have an enormous dependability? Some yardtrash happen to have high dependability as well. Perhaps it is simply too high for lvl9. Just a shot in the dark.

It's the resists that raised the level. Shaving off all but kinetic is how to get around the validity check, which is why dashers make higher ham pets, they only have kinetic and blast and using them in one or two slots makes everything else vulnerable.

Okay in Phase III - got the Combat Prowess quest thing from Deemos (sp?) but the reward I got was the enhanced melee defense drug thing. Why did I get this? I thought this was Whip's reward for doing Reflex quest, but I didnt go to him?

I've been reading that the Phase Three Combat Prowess reward is a mind crystal and that it involves taking down a shield or something -- yet all I got was a search and destory mission.

Anyone know what I did wrong? i really don't want an Reflex Skills with phase - I wante the Melee Accuracy box

The combat prowess quest is from the captain. You got the ER quest, and got the corresponding reward.

Ok, here's the deal. I've unlocked all my branches with my alt and just have to fill 5 boxes with XP. So with my goal actually in sight I decided to do a little grinding on Dath. I load up on grenades, take some Giant Baz Nitch mission and head out. As I'm working one of my lairs I notice a couple of lairs on my radar and see they are Giant Baz Nitch lairs as well. I finish up my lair and head over to check them out. Now I don't know how long it takes me to do a lair, maybe 5 minutes tops, but these have been on my radar the whole time I worked on my first one. I figure "cool, wild lairs" and proceed to take one of them out.

Just as I'm finishing the lair, a Wookie rides up on a swoop and starts cursing a blue streak at me. Between steams of profanity he claims I stole his mission and I owe him 85k for the lost FS xp. Seems he's 4 caps from finishing and feels I'm obligated to pay him because I stole his mission. I appologised to him saying I thought it was a wild lair but I had no intentions of paying him 85k for whatever trouble I may have caused him. He finally rode off continuing to rant at me and finished by saying I shouldn't be attacking wild lairs. ????? The funny thing is, there was another Baz Nitch Lair sitting 75m away. I sent the guy a tell saying that since he was being so mature about the whole affair that I'd leave that one alone and he was more than welcome to come finish it off. - No Response - Heh, so after waiting a few minutes I took that one out as well.

I thought the way missions worked (I've done more than a few over the past year and a half) was that the waypoint updated when the mission owner got within 256m. This prevented much of the kill stealing of the early days. I had figured (though to be honest it didn't enter into my mind this might be someone elses mission) that since the lairs had been on my radar for many minutes and I had seen no other player they were fair game.

So my question to the community is: What did I do wrong? I normally try and get along with everyone and don't want to take their misison. I've had it happen to me and just shrugged and picked up another. This guy acted like I had broken into his house and raped his dog or something. Is there some new etiquette I unknowingly broke?

If a lair has "A XXXX Lair" as the name, its a mission spawn. If its a "pile of rocks" or "Insect Hill" its a wild spawn.

If you didnt know that, you made an honest mistake that almost everyone has. Sorry the guy screamed at you, but he's probably one of those ppl who is in a hurry to grind out "teh ub4r jedi" and you got in his way.

Nothing to worry about.

nothing, in my opinion. but if it says "(Creature Name) lair" then it is not wild. wild lairs sayingthing like "a cluster of brambles" and such.

he was jerk. If the lair was not a named one like "baz nitch lair" its fair game as far I am concerned.

Dont see anything wrong with what you did. Try not to loose any sleep over this lol
