Thread: FAO Dor level 70 recipie update
Still getting a bit inconsistent results, though I am able to hit CL70.
Last night I made a CL70 with this recipe that gave me 6.1k health and 480 max damage. It's become my new "baby."
A lot of times I will just barely push it over to CL71, and I did that a lot last night. I decided to try 2nd gen sampling with those CL71s, and I made a CL68 with decent health/high damage stats with a little experimentation and having the BE buff. This I'm working more on as well to try and perfect that (so that all of that sampling to make the first recipe and I fail by creating CL71s with it doesn't totally go to waste!)
Still working on the variables of having the buff/being in a crafting specialization city/being by a good personal crafting station and all of those combinations to try and be consistent. Maybe I can come up with a sure-fire way to hit CL70 everytime. I'm SO close...
I want to try with all of the different variables of how to increase/improve crafting. When I don't have the buff or specials I get CL68-69. When I do have the buff (and/or include other variables) sometimes I hit CL70, but other times it's a tad too much and I push it to CL71. So far I have BE buff, being in a research facility/crafting specialization city, being next to a good personal crafting station, and/or having my crafting droid out as variables. Is there a type of chef food that could increase my pet crafting as well?
*crosses fingers and antennae to nail this recipe (and it's 2nd gen) down soon!*

To get the lev69-70's WITH +450 damage, exactly what recipe and experimention combo were used?
Been trying for the high damage and going over class. The clarification would be much appreciated!
Thanks guys, this thread is a great help.
that's what I'm still working on

Pyollian Cake gives a bonus to the next assembly ROLL
Bespin Port give a bonus to the next experimentation ROLL
What does that mean? Well... you are more likely to get an amazing instead of a great or a good success. OK, great! But, what does that mean? Well... since pet crafting is one of the few types of crafting where the assembly matters, it means that predicting what will happen when you put something together will get even more difficult. An amazing assembly will throw off your starting numbers for experimening. And it they are off, you will have a hard time predicting what to do with the DNA. What does an amazing do for experimentation? You get more bang for your buck. So an amazing experimentation will probably shoot you right up into lvl71 if you are close to going over.
OK, so... what does all that mean? Well, imho it means you should avoid those foods and even changing where you craft. All these just add another variable to something that isn't certain in the first place. So just pay attention to your numbers and %s and make sure to use your lucky charms correctly. I have a rubber chicken that i wave over the enter key three times before I press it while crafting

is there a reason we can't see the result CL in the crafting window as we're experimenting?

Because the DEV's hate us. No it's actualy its been brought up many times and the dev's say it would be to hard for them to do, or some other lame excusse. Maybe Lamm can try again.
Man being able to see the resulting CL in the crafting window as we experiment would be great! I guess we can all dream, huh? ![]()
As for foods/drinks like Bespin Port and/or BE buffs, they can be used to your advantage when you need it. For example, I've developed a CL68 recipe that I wanted to hit CL70 with consistently. After conducting a series of 18 tests last night with different variations/combinations of the different modifiers (buffs, being in a crafting specialization city, food, having my droid/crafting station nearby) I was able to nail the CL70 target with the BE buff and/or food, depending on what combination I was trying.
My results indicated that assembly in the genetic template is what is affected by those modifiers most. Assembling the final creature wasn't affected by those variables at all. I consistently got CL68, same health within 200 pts and same exact max damage regardless of what I was under the influence of when I made the creature itself. But I now know how to use food/BE buffs/crafting specialization city to my advantage when I am crafting genetic templates to hit my target CL, so I wouldn't say don't use the food, I'd say use it if you are trying to pus the CL up a tad or want to get a tiny bit more out of your pet if you have the CL overhead room. This method also helped me take a CL23 triplet recipe and get a nice CL24 when I needed it.
