Thread: The bugged clones are spreading!!

I had a guy today wanted to contract with me to make 9 CL9 pets with 7K health, 48% resists, and strong poison attack.. said another Master BE told him it was very easy to make them and he was trying to contract with several Master BEs to supply his whole guild with pets
AAAAAAARGH!
I fear the impending nerf is going to hit our correctly crafted pets very hard but this kind of unscrupulous activity by other BE's is really going to be the ruin of the new cloning system I fear.
I thought it was just me!
Glad I'm not the only one pulling my hair out. lol
It seems these days the tells of "cn u mke me n uber kimo?" has been replaced with "Mke me n uber CL10 pet that has 8K HAM, lt armor, 100% kinetic, 400 damage, oh yeah, and strong poison would be nice too!"
"As for the so called "bugged" pets ruining the profession, I sincerely hope it does. It will teach people to leave well enough alone."
I meant...
As for FIXING the so called "bugged" pets ruining the profession.......
I think its the light armor on these CL10 pets thatruffle some dev wannabees feathers.
I see CL10 pets with 6k+HAM and 40%+ Kinetic resist often. Most dont have armor though. A guy on my server specializes in making these. #
Actually its more the fact that a pet with these stats is pretty much the same as a lvl 40-45 pet that is tamed in the wild.
I wouldnt say its the overall HAM thats causing an issue.
Its the insane resists and armour that a lot of the low lvl 10 pets currently have, thats anoying CH's
mine doesnt have armor, i was told by my BE that non pets under like level 20 have armor or smoething like that. I have an uber gurreck but no armor. even a 2k ham get beat down fast.
Think about this, a probot with an 820 ham with medium armor of 40% will last way longer then a 2k ham gurreck with no armor, it may WELL BE that these uber gurrecks WITHOUT THE ARMOR are equal to my bot! (cept the attack is better).
My point is confusing but I am saying numbers wise maybe these ARE over powered but not by as much as u think.
The problem with the attitude "if the game allows me to do this, shut the h3ll up and let me do it" that some people have in this game is that it doesnt take into concideration anyone else in the game. They believe that if it is something that they want to do, even if it was never intended, they should be allowed to do it and anyone who says differently is attacking them.
Ageoldmyth, Dablingbling et al., I am not attacking you, never have. What I am 'attacking', if I am attacking anything, is the fact that there is something wrong with the system as it is. Whether you want to call it a bug, an exploit, or an unintended consequence of poor coding/poor testing of the new crafting system, it can not be argued by any objective person that the system is currently working as the devs have intended. Unfortunately I have to say that you have lost your objectivity in this and cant not look at the discussion without feeling attacked because of your position. I personally feel that you are defending the wrong side, but I do not think you, personally, are wrong.... just subjective.
Step back. Take a look at all the evidence with the eyes of objective observer. The previous developer posts as to the restructuring of the whole ch system. The changes made with the non-ch pet trade in program. The stats of creatures in the wild. Put aside your personal views for a moment. I am not attacking you. I will debate you and offer evidence for my position, as I ask you for evidence for your position.
Saleb, MBE/MCH, Intreped
I know a MCH with two level 5's with 48% resist to all and 7kham 200ish dmg that he groups with a level 60 gurreck....the gurreck tanks and the little buggers stack on the dmg.
Lo
Are my pets bugged...???
I have a Lv 7 Blurgg or what ever around H-8k A-4k M-3k with res-48% and dmg-370 along with strong Poison and Stong Disease... It is a non CH pet selling for 1.25 million...

If it sounds too good to be true...
Ri'a
The CH'swill still be needed because these pets still have to be trained. It's really up to them to charge for training. Just like Smugglers charge Weaponsmiths for slicing.
I have seen Level 5 Nargs with 10K hams, but as a non-CH the pet cannot be traded or transferred to me because I have no chance of controlling that creature. Only a CH can Call a Narglach no matter what level it is... and I have confirmed this. I assume theCL's for CHonly petsaffects only the total number of creatures that a CH can have out at one time.
However, the Blurrg that Ceedy mentions above exists.. I was able to have a similarcreature from that same Master BEtransferred to me and was able to call it from the datapad as a test that I was able to control it. I havezero CH skills.
There are a lot of Critters that BE's can make and it is HARD to make those cirtters with all the DNA sampling and experimentaion that goes into it. Out of all of the Cirtters that BE's can make... a CH can control several bad boys depending on their CL.. but the Non-CH player is still stuck with a limited selection of critters and yes the CL must be 10 or lower.
I really don't think that those clones are bugged at all... I just think it is a fair balancing act for BE's in general. A CH can SOLO mobs that I could never dream to touch because of his pets. A CH is needed to tame all Creatures and mounts. A BE can only makesome Nastycreatures with patience and perseverance... a BE can make tissues that will go into Clothing and Food that provide bonuses to skills. Sounds very balanced to me.
